This and unlock all uniform across all squads. Funny how sniper squads are not allowed to wear camo when everyone else are allowed

Balance is another aspect that sadly at least for me is the worst of all

there is not point on calling this a PVP game when developers what to move or handicap the player base of a whole faction forcing all players to quit or switch sides so after that faction will be full of bots turning that on literally a bot farm

just like moskow and tunisia scenarios onold campaing axis side

They already had it with the Japanese but the Japanese were too feisty for them

Moscow was often still playable enough for me to find good matches. But maybe that was just an EU server thing.

No I’m just talking about body armor and some things I predict would happen in the future and did happen and stuff that I had set to counter but unfortunately it was ignored.

questions about the nationality changing feature (sorry if these were answered already)

can PREMIUM squads have their voices changed? can people make the chinese and french allied squads speak english?

are the nationalities limited to US / UK and GER / IT or can allies/axis select other nationalities like french? There are french squads that fight for both sides in the game (like the flamethrower legacy axis squad from Normandy)

Reflecting on the “Jet Power” major update

I understand your limited in what you can say here, but opening up with this and then kinda spouting a couple of nothings wasnt a great starter. Saying that at least it was mentioned.

Maps and missions

Just wanna start this out, the Cave Village mentioned right away, praise whatever gods you pray to, because yes, its needed.

SnowieW’s thread has been amazing, and frankly I would love if any of the other devs opened up their own threads on their own areas of specialisation. I think there has been lots of genuinely thoughtful and well thought out posts in there, and if more devs were to open their own, I hope the trend would continue.

Now the controversial part, the expanded BR ranges for maps. I think it was the right decision to test on live servers, in the future I would like to see more live server tests too. From how you have phrased it, it will be going ahead in the future however, I will talk on it more once I get back to the preferred map system.

Battle Rating changes

Easily some of the easiest and best changes that can be done, it was fantastic to see said changes at the time and even now its good, however not all changes were great, the M1A1 Thompson for example is too powerful for BR2, a Tech Tree 20 round Thompson is needed there. On the other hand, the Pz3 N’s transformation and change to BR3 has been amazing, though it could do with a touch up with removing all of its now useless APHE ammo. (Though I know you yourself hinted at a system to select ammo counts during the issues with the narwhal.)

TLDR there is, Do more, this should be a monthly things, even if its only 1 or 2 weapons or vehicles at a time.

Customization

Again, amazing updates made here, and very glad to see both the map based camo and iconic vehicle recognition symbols are “being looked at”, though tbf considering how much this game takes from WT, its very surprising these couldnt be implemented almost immediately. Still both are needed and the sooner they get here, the better.

Roadmap

There isnt much to say here, progress is being made, slower than both expected and needed, however progress is progress no?

Saying that, this brings me to the most alarming thing in this post, the “like and dislike” system your looking to implement in the place of a preferred map system. The fact a “ban ability” is only being considered is horrendously concerning and this makes me very very worried. I need to really make this point clear, if you fuck this system up and add one as useless as the one in WT, I think myself and many other will be leaving this game. This system is what will allow you to please everyone while adding the expanded BRs for all maps system your dead set on implementing.

For the nationality system mentioned, very nice, though I will be waiting to see how that manifests, because as nice as a system that is, I dont want to be running around with a US marine squad while wearing British uniforms and British voice lines, that rubs me all the wrong ways.

Otherwise the other systems mentioned have nothing to base an opinion on really, we will just have to wait and see for those.

AI squadmates

I am extremely glad to see work on the AI being done, however the list of priorities mentioned there do seem almost backwards to me. 8 and 9 in particular, to myself should be the priority, especially consider how I imagine to make those work, will require reworking a lot of the AI behaviours.

Not much else I can add to that since I will just have to see how it goes, so while I have hope here, I think I might be a bit of a fool for having hope.

Squad experience

Just nice, it was needed a long time ago, but better late than never.

Thank you for this post, I really hope to see more of these in the future, and frankly its been really enlightening. Im sure as you can read from my own post, some of it is good, some of it is bad, but posts like these allow us the players to raise issues that might otherwise not be raised until a lot of the gruntwork is already done for these projects or mechanics which would otherwise waste all of our time.

Good question. I’ll need to clarify for sure, but:

Maybe should have added “premium squads” in here too. At least, to my knowledge, it’s not intended, at least for now, since this would cause a lot of issues.

To my knowledge, it’s only for ITA/GB soldiers for now. This doesn’t prevent other nations being possibilities, but it may depend on what developers’ future plans are for said other nationalities.

The fact a paid squad (The Churchill mk3) is crewed by Americans drives me insane to no end, because otherwise its a very fun tank.

I enjoy being blinded by the white light at the end of the match its like the men in black flashing me after seeing such poor team play

But it is squads like the chinese that would need it the most.
China has nothing to do with the USA so having your soldiers randomly talk chinese on d-day just because you like the gun ( or its the only BR2 semi with full damage you have access to) is very off putting and kills the immersion instantly for me.

Honestly the fact your looking to release a nationality system without the ability for squads to change uniforms is point blank nuts. That was very obviously the reason people asked for it in the first place.
