I'm not sure how much longer this lunacy needs to continue Because tankers and pilots need a job Instead of coming here just to murder AI's and players

I’m not sure how many times this has been asked for at this point but I’m losing track So engineers need stronger fortifications and they need defenses which are not made of wet paper so tankers can actually do something and pilots can get off their ass and actually do some work.

We already have tanks which are Gray zone camping or going into battle to become a mobile barricade and planes which are suicide bombing So let’s make them actually Focus on taking out engineer blockades or fortifications instead of just Murdering players and AI.

And @61839981 when you appear could you be so kind and dump all your topics relating to defenses or things which specialize in this topic if you’d be so kind.

And for anyone who complains about saying engineers will be too powerful I can’t beat my game in under 10 minutes now this is not a running gun game you want that stuff go to Call of Duty we don’t need more Call of Duty clones.

I dont think any engineer built defenses would be able to withstand HE shells unless we are magically going to spawn bunkers out of thin air.

Engineers need bigger field guns and better AA to counter vehicle spam, as currently there is no spawn point system for vehicles and no cooldown either, so a team can just have an endless cycle of tanks.

All true but still doesn’t mean we shouldn’t give fortifications more health so they don’t break in one shot or from random explosions.

They already did that, I dont want to see invincible sandbag walls…

Indeed there’s some lunacy here that needs to stop, but not necessarily the one you mentioned.

We already have suicide planes so I don’t see a problem in giving them a job and making them actually do work instead of doing whatever they want.

Not sure what you’re going on about but I’m guessing either suicide planes or mobile tank barricades.

Purpose of any non-light tank

Personally I wouldn’t mind if sandbags could withstand one more hit from a tank.

Identified as caused by game rules.

Since the current default game mode have such an arcade game rule, you should accept that players who accept this mode choose their arcade gameplay in it. Such as suicide missiles, etc.

I may be as demanding as you for a more reasonable gaming experience, but I’ve given up on arcade mode after long-time without seeing changes.

Those of us who don’t like run-and-gun games should unite and demand our own mode.

Otherwise you will forever be in endless debate and trouble with those who claim themselves represent the majority run-and-gun players here, and the number of potential gamers will continue to be lost.

It’s not so much of a matter of not holding up to the HE shell BLAST, but rather that fortifications shatter from every little bit of fragmentation, which is leading them to be so underwhelming, and is the primary thing that needs to change.

Don’t misunderstand me, DIRECT HITS should break fortifications, but FRAGMENTATION should not.

As far as “magically spawn bunkers out of thin air”. Defenders are having to pull back to unidentified locations (they only know the locations when it changes, so there is not time to set up in advance generally, unless you take a guess and happen to be right).
The locations you have to defend don’t come with much in the way of pre-existing fortifications.

So giving engineers the opportunity to actually set up in advance should be added. It will lead to far less roflstomps by attackers.

What about an infantry only mode? Trying to balance vehicles is one thing, but couldn’t we have an infantry only mode?

I don’t think we need an explicit “hardcore” mode because this game is already a good balance (in my opinion) of arcade and hardcore. In fact they could introduce more “hardcore” features into the game such as slowing down soldiers or whatever and it would still fit perfectly fine in the current system and core experience

I’ve never felt that this game is too run and gun, I play relatively slow paced and I have fun regardless and don’t have any problems.

And “run and gun” is subjective.

That may be true but not everyone wants to play with zerg rush players and play matches which end in under 10 minutes.

Wrong guess.

Honestly, it might make for an interesting mode, especially if artillery is disabled as well.

Definitely not the standard, but I could maybe get behind an event or special mode like this.

Might even be a good way to show some of the issues (lack of hp of sandbag walls for example) that engineers face, even against just infantry.

@Greyparrots @61839981
My only question is:

Why? Why is this so important for you?

I mean what will be enhanced from making these changes?
