SITREP №1 - Operation "Transparency"

Yes and the other departments have been waiting for stuff for years 'cause this game is 8 years old you know.

Better to point out they forgotten about Japanese and Soviet event APC. Engineer and AT soldiers on every squads.

Yeah but this isn’t new. “Clans” was on the roadmap under consideration since it was released. So why freak out about it now?

Also clans are the biggest ally when it comes to better custom game lobbies/support so it’s very silly to be hostile towards them.

We all want the game to improve and have to work together. There is even a modding clan XD

I mean, a multiplayer PVP game in 2025 with no social system is kinda whack. You can’t really deny that.

And this part is even more true and the fact that anyone in your department is using out of date equipment to this day is a miracle.

Can’t even squad up with a rando and coordinate factions/BRs unless you’re both in Discord.

I just decline any invites because there is no way to make sure one of us isn’t uptiering the other.

Oh I understand that but you’ve got to understand it from the mod makers perspective who have been working here for years and they’ve been screaming for any form of anything to happen for years and to be ignored and yet for some reason the new department gets things which the other department has been asking for any form of acknowledgment for years.

Unless you happen to catch it when you queue for a game lol. They don’t even display player BR per faction in lobby.

So is that supposed to be an example of how well you follow the feedback from your community?
If yes than I what is wrong with you… that example was all but positive.
Nothing about that change was for your community…
The first change was an nerf nobody requested or wanted outside of the devs and the second change was still short of player expectations only doing the bare minimum to somewhat appease paying customers you scammed via bait and switch.
If that is what you claim is caring for your own community then we are truely doomed…

Can we please return the ability to purchase gold-order weapons?
I don’t understand why we can’t buy a weapon even if we want to.
I’m happy to buy the Ge 43 Kurz again if I’m allowed to.
I and a lot of other players I know are frustrated a weapon that you could easily obtain just through a simple purchase is now extinct

Absolutely true but the fact that this game is 8 years old and it’s been going for so long without anything like this is even more a miracle.

The thing is we’re on the same team. We both want the game to improve. But modders (namely Erika and Mopuit) screech and rave about anything clans when the reality is we (being the clans) are all too happy to support modder improvements.

Appreciate the communication.

As a large paying customer (aka WHALE) ive held back any spending to minimal levels, chiefly due to lack of communication from the development team as to where the game is going (if anywhere).

Few simple notes:

Example being copycat AT weapons where native solutions exist

UK Ordnance, RCL, 3.45in Mk 1 BR4; 88mm recoiless gun was developed as a successor to the PIAT; it was issued to units for extensive trials at end of war. Primary HESH round damaged armor up to 180mm thick. Also optional 120mm penetrating HEAT round.

Fans of the game who’ve spent good amount of money and time have suggested content/solutions years ago thats needed in the game.

We await the dev team to increase its pace/ effort.

They do love to make pointless paperwork and move things back and forth

Yeah I feel that. I was trying to mod for a bit but got frustrated and quit.

But attacking your best ally isn’t a very smart move imo. Clans are an organized group that discuss and coordinate around ideas we all agree on. Modding and custom support is def something most of us agree with. But few are going to bother when the most vocal modder is openly hostile, even to those who express support.

Absolutely true but what Erika and any Mod maker asking for is an update to their tools so things don’t keep breaking and for things to actually work with some sense.

At this point she’s probably gone mad and I can’t exactly blame her from how Mod maker have been treated and that’s not even counting instances where your stuff just falls apart because the game says so and all that work you did just disappeared into space.

Which I’m all for! I’d love it because modders could make stable new maps and content for us to do stuff on. So why attack us? Of course we will ask for what would benefit us (social systems and framework) because it’s in our vested interest. We aren’t trying to sabotage anyone else.

Unrelated note - add stack-based mm pls

Imo clans, modders, and whales are the three most dedicated player groups (with a lot of overlap). So they should work together as best they can. Discuss and support each other. If we are fractured and infighting then DF won’t get a clear message or see the overwhelming support.

Technically, they’re in the same place on the roadmap.

But yes, social systems are still planned, of course, and I’d agree they are more desired than a clan feature (to be honest, they are linked, they’re both social systems, a clan system is a sub-feature of an improved social system). When we know more about it, which may be in future SITREPs, we’ll inform players. It’s something I’d like sooner than later too.
