Unfortunately, we won’t be able to finish these before the next major update, but we want to show you now how Japan will burst into tier 5 battles and USA’s response to the monstrous Tiger II.
The faction is, to put it mildly- Behind.
The news concerning the future plans for the faction feature the Ho-Ri Production and apparently nothing else.
Both their WT equivalent BR averages at BR4 don’t go past 3.4.
The BR average for ground vehicles is 4.7 and 4.1 for planes.
At the present moment, they aren’t ready to have BR5 foisted upon them, let alone BR 4. Their vehicles are not only underperforming compared to other nations’, but they have severely hampered potential in the future, as well.
Their best candidate that doesn’t go past end of ww2 and into the realm of US handing out their tanks to the Japanese Ground Forces are 75mm-equipped tanks with penetration comparable to german pak 40s in the form of the Chi-Ri II and Chi-Tos.
Except for the Ho-Ri Production, which is a turretless SPG, all future and existing Japanese BR 3-4 tanks will be facing both Pershings and Super Pershings in the future. Notwithstanding the lack of information in the small arms department regarding what they’ll eventually use to fight these vehicles, as well as their automatic rifle/lmg/smg equivalent at BR5.
The issue is thankfully not present with their air tree, since they do have stuff that was natively made with performance comparable to late US planes.
But I do have to stress that the faction itself shouldn’t be going to BR5 any time soon. Even if they theoretically add the Ho-Ri Production. Which will be fighting in Pacific maps. On small islands. On uneven jungle terrain. Without a turret.
Please introduce more Japan faction content, but do not shoehorn them into BR5. We can just not introduce the Ho-Ri Production and keep them in BR 4 until the time Enlisted expands past ww2. If ever.
