It feels like the Devs have forgotten about the type 2a 6.5mm because right now it’s about as good as the Thompson .30cal (a br3 gun). Currently it has 20 rounds:
But according to the documents made about this gun it had 30 rounds:

The front sight should be changed to be like the Type 2 SMG front sight that is just a single post for better clarity for the user
And the rear sight should be elevated a bit like in other guns to provide a better sight picture
I had hoped we’d hear back since the first initial posts concerning the incorrect mag size and with Euthy forwarding two options to the Devs. I really don’t mind the assault rifle at all, I wish the audio was a bit beefier considering the calibre, but that’s semantics. Really hoping to see the magazine capacity updated sometime soon.
The correct option is to increase the magazine capacity. The incorrect option is to increase damage because the 6.5x30 bullet is similar to .30 carbine in strength, it would make no sense whatsoever for it to hit harder than the STG44 or AS-44 while it fires a weaker bullet out of a shorter barrel
Absolutely couldn’t agree more.
For a br V this is a sad excuse of a assaulter weapon. With 30 rounds it can rival things like the stg44 and AS-44 (not perfectly balanced but enough to be in the same effectiveness category)
Even with 30 rounds it’s always a bad matchup for the Type 2a. It does 7.8 damage compared to 9.6 for the AS-44 and STG-44.
That’s why I said enough to be in the same effectiveness category, Yes it’s not as powerful but it’s a considerable leap in that direction. I think at a minimum it should be into carbine damage starting at 8.0. that’s at the minimum in my personal opinion I feel like it should be matched to the STG damage, it’s difficult to get perfect balancing and parity between every faction. So even if we can make it 90% of the way there that’s a massive accomplishment.
Sometimes all it takes is nudging a piece of equipment in One direction to get the ball rolling. We may not get there all at once, but something is better than nothing in terms of balanced stats. At least that way it’s a step in the direction for a piece of equipments end goal.
