New SMG for Axis 3 BR and 5 BR

Hello forum members

In our game there is a problem: Germany lacks a competitive submachine gun compared to other factions. The weapons available in the progression tree cannot compete with the equivalent weapons used by opponents.

I suggest considering and possibly introducing the most realistic and historically accurate weapon that could achieve balance.

For Battle Ratings 3, 4, and 5.

I’d like to suggest adding a lesser-known but historically relevant line of submachine guns - the SIG MK series.

Variants (9×19 Parabellum)

SIG MKMS (9×19)

  • Rate of fire: 800–900 RPM
  • Magazine: 30 or 40 rounds
  • Weight: ~3.9 kg
  • Operation: simple blowback

SIG MKMS

SIG MKPS (9×19, compact variant)

  • Rate of fire: ~900 RPM
  • Magazine: 30 rounds
  • Length: 820 mm

SIG MKPS

Ammunition

These weapons were produced in multiple calibers:

  • 9×19 Parabellum
  • 7.65×21
  • 7.63×25
  • 9×25 Mauser

For this proposal, only the 9×19 Parabellum variants are considered, as they best match standard German logistics and existing in-game systems.

Historical Use

  • Finland purchased approximately 282 units
  • Deliveries took place in 1940
  • Weapons saw actual combat use

This confirms that the SIG MK series was not experimental or obscure, but actively used during World War II, including on the Eastern Front.

3 BR SUOMI SMG’S

Suomi KP/-31 (36-round box magazine)

  • Magazine: 36 rounds
  • Faster reload than drum
  • Rate of fire: ~980 RPM (consistent with in-game premium squad)

we have many variations with grips and with Vfd

5 BR SUOMI SMG

Suomi KP/-31 (50-round “Coffin” magazine) 4 BR

  • Magazine: 50 rounds
  • Balanced between capacity and reload speed
  • Rate of fire: ~980 RPM

→ Good candidate for BR IV as a versatile mid-tier SMG.

Suomi KP/-31 (Drum + foregrip / compensator variant)

  • Magazine: drum (high capacity)
  • Added vertical foregrip and/or muzzle compensator
  • Improved recoil control and stability
  • Rate of fire: ~980 RPM

→ Strong BR V variant with better handling instead of higher damage.

There are very few historically grounded SMG options left for Germany. Most alternatives come down to field modifications or captured weapons like PPSh, which are not very popular and don’t really fit the faction identity.

At the same time, other factions already have a large variety of SMGs - especially the Soviets, with multiple PPSh variants (phosphate, 100-round, PPSh-45, etc.), and also Thompsons filling similar roles across BR IV.

That’s why focusing on 9×19 Parabellum variants makes the most sense. They align with German logistics and fit naturally into the progression.

By introducing variants with different magazines, foregrips, stocks, or muzzle devices, it’s possible to expand the lineup without adding unrealistic weapons.

This would help properly fill BR III and BR V, while keeping both gameplay and historical authenticity intact.

Should these SMGs be added to the game in this form?
  • Yes
  • No
  • I will explain in the comments

Germany has no BR5 SMG, and only one BR4 SMG at the moment - makes alot of sense to add some of these to the TT

Overall, yeah — because all the interesting SMGs/ARs are only available in the Battle Pass or were given out for Golden Orders. I mostly use the Kenders smg and the Scotti rifle, and sometimes fill the gap with the MP 717r, but it feels like the weakest of them all.

Honestly, I haven’t seen any new and truly good small arms in a long time. Whenever something gets added, it’s either mediocre or just unnecessary, unfortunately.

I wonder, shouldn’t the 50 rounds drum suomi be br4 instead of 5?

It’s similar to the ppd40, and has less ammunitions in it’s drum? Yet ppd40 is br4.

Edit: I saw you put it br4 afterwards, but I got confused as it’s under the br5 smg tab.

it would be seriously better if you made separate threads for each gun suggestion

You can suggest it in a separate thread, I’ll be all for it.

Honestly, I’m surprised by such strong support - all 41 people voted in favor of the proposal. I wonder how soon we’ll see these SMGs. Anyway, thanks to everyone who supported and voted. Let’s hope it happens soon. :camel:

It would be great because we would stop seeing ppl complain br3 especially and other br axis smgs are lacking…

It would become relatively peaceful, eh?

Maybe buff g41 or new Self-loading rifle on 3 br
And almost all i think

Might be swedish mag or might not, finns made these ~1943 and it was withdrawn from service relatively quickly due to 71 drum just being better.
