Why We Need to Move G43 Kurz to 4 BR or Buff It

Hello, Enlisted players. Today, I’d like to raise an important topic related to one weapon bought with Golden Orders - the G43 Kurz.

This is one of the few guns that was nerfed after release: they removed the mag cutoffs and brought it to “historical values.” This set a precedent - no other purchased weapon has been nerfed like this since.

With that in mind, I’d like to bring this up for discussion and propose a couple of options that would satisfy EVERYONE.

Current State

Right now, the G43 Kurz is essentially a downgraded STG-44 in the Assault Rifles list. It has the worst fire rate at 550 RPM, compared to 650 for the STG-44 and 660 for the AS-44.

On 5 BR, it’s objectively unplayable. In terms of TTK, it can’t compete with:

• Soviet assault rifles avt40-20. avs-36
• American ones T20, M2 Carbine
• Even similar German ones like FG-42, Breda PG CR

Not to mention the M2 Carbine and its variants. The TTK is just way too long.

So, the question is: why bother? I have 4 of them from the campaigns. Each cost 750 Gold, so that’s about 3000 Gold total - equivalent to a premium squad. They’re just sitting and gathering dust in my inventory.

What I Propose

Since there aren’t many of them in circulation, and 4 BR could make it competitive, I suggest moving it to 4 Battle Rating. This won’t create any imbalance:

• We have the RMN-50 at 3 BR
• Fedorov machine gun at 4 BR
• Even PPSh-45 at 4 BR

OR, if you’re not happy with changing the BR, let’s buff it:

• Increase the fire rate
• Improve accuracy
• Hip-fire or spread

What do you think, gentlemen? This is a precedent situation - I don’t remember them nerfing a purchased gun this hard for those who already bought it. Back then, it was a legendary and fun gun; now it’s trash.

550 RPM is already a buffed fire rate.
It’s very controllable, and I equipped it for engineers and AT soldiers in BR5 assault squads.

No, when burst fire was implemented, the fire rate was 700-800 RPM. Not 480, which they “raised” to 550.

It’s essentially a prototype, and the rifle itself could safely fire 650-700 RPM - after that, the barrel wore out heavily.

550 RPM is an insufficient fire rate. If you take it instead of the FG42-2, good luck. It’s not a competitive gun, even compared to enemies with that fire rate.

There is no evidence that it can burst fire, which is why it was changed.
Furthermore, if you switch to semi-automatic mode at that time, the maximum fire rate is 480 RPM.

and rpm in 3 burst real rpm was 700+ in game

There is no evidence of the Kenders, the Su-9, or many other things being used.
That’s called game mechanics or game abstraction.
The point is that a paid (donation) weapon was changed, and since they can’t bring back the cut-off fire mode — and that’s not even the topic here —
the weapon needs to be BUFFED, can you understand it?

The G43 Kurz barrel could easily handle a much higher fire rate.
It’s essentially a G43 with a muzzle brake compensator.

Yes, it is listed in AR, but in fact, by its parameters, it is an assault rifle—the emphasis is precisely on this: intermediate cartridge, damage, magazine capacity, and so on.

Even though it does fit those parameters it isn’t classified as such in the game. Comparing it to a weapon that doesn’t fill the same slot doesn’t make much sense.

Well, in this form, it makes little sense, because it’s literally the weakest auto rifle in its class and on its BR, and it was even sold for real money.

Yes, what made old kurz good was its very rapid burst mode, nowadays its just a poor mans STG.

Its funny how Fedorov rifle had a terrible burst mode, but got 1000 RPM full auto as a replacement, while G43 kurz had a great burst mode and the gun got turned into trash.

Would only be fair to make this gun have higher RPM than STG, considering its a gold weapon. Might wanna lower its damage tho, its quite high for a 30 round AR.

It’s a strange setup — I’m not judging — but I also have the sectored Thompsons, and I tried playing with them.
The bullet velocity of the .45 ACP is disappointing.

You have to be a very simple person.

To, right now, when enemies have AS-44 > STG-44, when there’s the Fedorov Automat, pick Kurz for assault engineers - even with 4 M2A1 Carbines. On assault squads, that thing is way more effective than the Kurz.

I’ve been playing a long time - 10,000 battles.

I have a ton of gear, and I know what I’m talking about.

How many Kurz do you have?

It’s a freaking full auto rifle that standard infantry can use. We don’t need this on br4 to outclass everything else. It’s also one of the most stable SFs in game

Currently, it doesn’t outperform anything on 5 BR. It needs a buff—if not a move to 4 BR, then obviously an improvement.

Kurz for assault engineers

Why on earth would you put this on assault engineers? The mkb42 (br4) is the best AR in game which would be best for assault engineers. The kurz can be used on regular infantry. It’s no surprise though germany players want to break more rules for themselves and no one else
