M2 Carbine: 8.8 to 13.6 Damage

I vote no, I like that’s it’s more accurate and the trsde off of having less damage helps make U.S. players pick between high damaging or high accuracy

I’m saying that the M2 can’t compete with that but it is still really good.

at the end of the day this thing of SF meta is the fault of the developers for not thinking propelly on the possibilities

i was quite against it since it made everything except the type hei automatic useless and the m2 carabine aswell

basically killing the point or using soviets and germans on the game

the nerf was so hard and probably it would have been accepted if it was a a 60% recoil control instead of 50%

It needed to be more refined and tweaked.

Not sure if DF is capable of producing something “refined” with the amount of rushed content they release in a half baked state.

True, IMO SF rifles need to be slightly nerfed so that it’s more rewarding to use short bursts/semi and penalises longer bursts/full auto.

no matter if you control recoil perfectly bullets will always have some dispersion

yea its RNG and sometimes even annoying but if done good it can balance SF spam

I’m for buffing the damage of all Assault Rifles (and similar), but I am not for selectively buffing just the M2s.

It would be nicer, however, if the both M1 and M2 carbines got the same feature as the VG 1-5, that is; being equipable on any soldier type.

I’m Pretty Sure you can put the M2 on any soldier type?

To my knowledge you can not put them on assaulters as they only use the M2A1.
But that isnt really an issue as you can always replace the assaulters in a squad with just another rifleman.

EDIT: The only squad really laking access to the M2 cabine would be tankers and pilots but than again you could equip an limited M2A1 instead on those. But still vehicle crew rarely use small arms themselves so beeing restricted isnt that much of a big deal to them.

I really would rather use M2s than the Hyde on my guys, feels more appropriate.

Volkssturm assaulter-squads, I guess…? VG 1-5s for the Assaulters, VG 2s for the tree other guys in a squad.

Arent skins tied to the squads? So there should be no diffrence between an rifleman or assaulter cosmetics within the same squad.
Could also be wrong and overlook something here.

Of course, but one might prefer that their soldier types matches what they intend to do with them in-game. Some people are real sticklers for those kinds of things.

Some dislike using FG-42s on non-Luftwaffe squads, because it’s not an army weapon. People are weird.
