Probably an old and dumb question but I just don’t know. Does the Japanese swords in tech tree actually give 150 speed bonus (fastest in game) or is it just aesthetics?

All Swords give same bonus + some combat knifes like the NKVD knife or San Marco Dagger.

Not really, but given that there had been about 10 diffrent events offering free sabers for each faction plus the boxes so everyone already own a crap ton of them so it isnt really that much of a problem.
Japan on the other hand barely had an opportunity to get their katanas as they barely even get any event at all.
Even when japan gets an event it almost only because it is an event with all 4 factions inside.
To make things balanced the Soviet Sword should come with a shield and only the soviet sword should give 150% speed the rest should be 125%

No its only one sword for su even in veteran box while axis and allies have 2 of them. So soviets have 50% less even in this little chance to get this sword while Japanese can bye it in tt.

There is more weapons that give the same speed and are in the veteran box. You should come visit my propaganda lessons comrade since that’s not even good bait I mean the NKVD knife gives same speed also. Kind of makes up for everything else Japan is lacking. Japan and swords are like PbNJ. They should get a bonus since the Russians have one for body armor.
