Japanese swords question

I suppose this huge advantage cant be explained - unless show me something that can be so strong as best Auto rifle in a game

So at br 5 I got fastest sword for 9x3 men and have 30 rounds autorifles while others can’t have swords for silver and have 10 rounds less in main rifles.

Why?

firstly, the autohei has 11.6 damage
secondly, it has terrible sites which directly hinder the player

if ANYONE suffers, its germany as the dont have the san moroocan dagger or the nkvd knife

I mean, there are plenty other cool things for germany

They do, but Japanese have swords 9x3 and 9x3 30 rounds perfect autohey. While others don’t - I dream to have even 21 swords for my su team. I try to get it since 2020, but aint have for now. 5.5 years.

Well, If this game isn’t symetrical why so many folks keep fart here about other nations issues while we have

+10 for a best gun in game which can be given 9x3
150 boost speed sword in a tech tree which can be given 9x3

Maybe because Japan is weak in other areas? The low number of squads? No high tier mortars? You guys are here crying about Japan having a sword but not a word about low tier flamethrowers and mortars. Don’t get me started on their shit tanks their shit BR 5 assault weapons. A 50 round machine gun that spits out in 2 seconds, a M2 that has terrible sites and terrible spread, or a 20 round SMG :(.

Autohey is a met endgame gun + swords to everybody + unbeatable HoRi which I can’t penetrate with a panzerfaust in a flank.

Mortars are garbage? LOL Wow just wow. I have a mortar in every faction. They absolutely destroy people . I run a 2 engineer squad so I can drop 14 ammo boxes a few 100 mortars has a huge impact. They have a 50 round machine gun at BR2? The flamer at BR 5 Japan is still using a low BR flamethrower. I view it as an infantry squad. I run two of those on my Japan BR5. When you have 2-3 extra slots per nation it allows some diversity beyond the 3 squad assault model. Russia has an AK for BR5 for cripes sake. I literally play every faction at max. Max units, max weapons, max builds. I know all about high tier. I am too lazy to go screen shot how your comment is incorrect on so many levels. Japan is good because to grind out to five takes focus. Out of all the nations I play(Join any battle 24/7) Japan has the best players because they had to suffer through 1-4 being a whipping boy. Their tank sucks BTW you cant fire the machine gun while firing the main gun like every other faction.

I would agree with the consensus that swords are not that big of an advanatage, more of a fun luxury: bots cant use swords after all. it’s more of a motivating factor to encourage the playerbase to play japan. Body armour is game changind however. I can personally hold twice my own combat strength with body armour against the enemy. However, it seems not to invite many good soviet players, who i only see once in a blue moon.

If they want body armour gone, i am not averse to it. But plenty of things can be added to the soviet union, certainly. The tank problem is first up. We don;t need a tank that is strongest in the game. we just want something to counter the ho ri and tiger 2. Thats why i think the ISU/SU 152 would be a good fit. The HE round of the 152 can overpressure the 40 mm roof of the tiger 2, while the 122 cannot.

Sword gives you a far better advantage then bd - this game about a speed - how to get from a rally to point faster. That’s why free swords - is a huge advantage

Man who in the world are playing mortars, also check time of reload hori and is-2 and the question will be overed

IS2 is garbage with that reload time also it hits a lot harder than the Japan 5 tank unless you are talking about that silly ass turtle tank with like 20 crew.

Its not simply about getting to point faster. It also requires control over the point, which requires combat. A skilled player knows how to attack, and the winner of a duel is decided by all factors, such as weapon, and indeed body armour. Being able to place a rally 4 seconds earlier, is not as powerful as winning every initial encounter, with an enemy.

In fact, the good players in this game don’t win because of speed. Actually, it’s not hard to play fast and urgent. The noobs don;t play urgently because they don;t know how to win, or don;t care to win. And the noobs also do not know how to fight. The deciding factor is combat. That’s why the other factions are doing so well right now: they have strong players, strong teams. Reacting before the opponent can even shoot, and setting up effective kill zones with positioning.

I admit, for someone who is equal level with me, playing any faction other than ussr (especially japan), even if they dominate the objective first, i will clear them out as long as my troops all have body armour. I am only late to the party by ~ 5 seconds.

I think we should instead focus on attracting people to each faction.

Many people do not know about the body armour mechanic. the people who engage on the forums are only a select few: a lot of decently strong players (around my level i kight even postulate), like the majority which populate germany or japan, are not on the forums, and might not even know about body armour.

Rather, the katana is instantly accessible, and the effects are transparent. It says when you click on the item, +150% sprint speed.

If Darkflow is transparent, and lets players know explicitly about the body armour effect, i promise you, there will be so much soviet players.

Unfortunately, the game is suffering from the same problems as warthunder, where tactically inferior factions have are elevated to a very strong position due to the preference of the playerbase.

Let them keep their katanas. it’s fun.

interestingly, the is2 can frontally defeat all axis tanks except the tiger 2 H, Ferdinand, and Ho ri (that is AP will not pen, and he will not overpressure). given the reload, i’d say the is 2 is kinda doodoo for an endgame tank. I’d put it at the same level as tiger 1 (both can front pen each other), but the tiger 1 can dispense HE better.

Actually, i’m honestly not sure if telling the players about the body armour effect will even attract more players to play the USSR. I don’t know why USSR gets clowned on so much: is it the vehicles? the historicity? the factionalism? maybe the other factions get a kick out of beating the soviets. “Russian bias”, they joke.

Maybe it’s banzai nostalgia, or people wanting to use the classics like STG 44, FG 42 2 and mg 42. They are rather fun to use.

I think my point stands. If the fedorov avtomat gets split into the 1919 and 1923 versions, and infantry can use the 1919 version, then the soviets will be so much more fun. And with that, comes more players. That’s all that matters.

when you get the manchuria invasion map on the hill, and you are attacking, a mortar gets you 30 kills before your teammates even build rallies. When it hits, it hits hard. But very situational, like flamethrowers.

I literally was going to post a screenshot to the same effect. I rang up 35 kills in a short period of time. But I am run two engineers so fire away at the start with both mortars then build 3 boxes repeat. Flamethrower is more about knowing how to use it and when to use it. I will take the 2 flamethrowers 7 man versus 9 man infantry.
