Those things are entierly correct, as can be from available evidence.
Besides, you’d almost certainly be incorrect that the PPSh-41 (s) “never existed”, one almost certainly did. It’s just that, again, available and reliable information is next to non-existant, and there’s a question as to the timeline of the weapon. From the data we have, which is… Well, nill, it’s painstakingly accurate to the few details we do know.
Gotcha, only you get to appeal to popularity, my bad.
Different matter entierly, not one I’m interested in, is not a counter to the original point that RoF, velocity, and magazine sizes are meant to be corrected to historical levels.
Suits to “History” / “realistic” subject.
Which quite well proves my point how this is such a vague argument and everyone has different view of it.
Apparently rof, velocity & mag sizes seems to be “fine” for you, disregarding every other “historical” / “realistic” attribute.
Also: type hei auto is fake. Tokyo arsenal has a completely wrong fire rate as well as type 2 smg, short 75 panzers, fnab, and some others im forgetting. While a weaker argument recoil in this game is completely wrong based off historical documents. Mg42 was impossible to shoulder fire essentially. Pretty much same with Lewis gun. And soldiers were specifically told to not use the avt 40 in full auto as the recoil was too astronomical. Damage in game is mostly arbritrary. Panzerfaust are reloaded. Japanese have offenhor. Ho ri and the Japanese tiger are in the game. Tank mg overheat in less than one mag. But apparently it’s too far giving a prototype 15 rounds instead of 10 with the justification that a 10 round ar is hard to balance and make fun.
Guys, I’m not having any of that other unrelated stuff be part of the conversation.
Are you guys really going to act like Red Parrots with these whataboutisms?
There’s no balance argument for why the gun must have 15 rounds, when other stats can be adjusted.
The magazine only held 10 rounds, simple as.
The forum applies strict rules on how to format suggestions, which includes a requirement for sources. If a suggestion is improperly sourced, it will not be forwarded (I have communicated in private in the past about this with staff on this very subject, they’re very thurough).
No one was asking for this before hand, and if it had never happened, you would never have even conjoured the thought that we could just make up magazine sizes in game.
and it is related. Cuz ur falsely holding up enlisted as a realistic game in ur justification for nerfing this gun. All these things I talked about show you it’s not a historically accurate game but a historically inspired game.
Well, historical accuracy / realistic is quite simple, you either do aim for it or you dont.
Considering weapons that were absolute trash IRL are top tier in the game makes one wonder is this game even remotely aiming towards either historical accuracy or / realism.
Well I guess ? But what differency does it make, does it have ahistorical dmg or ahistorical rof or ahistorical mag ?
We have uruguay smg made by someone in remote outhouse with chisel and hammer, a gun no one knows about a gun no one knows does it actually work.
Use imagination and pretend the guy switched sides & field worked 15 round mag.
pretty sure stinger came earlier ?
Also the drums of Kp31 / PPSH41 were never loaded to full capacity, more like ~65 yet the “full” capacity is used in the game.
Stop pretending like wanting basic, real-world tied stats like velocity, RoF, and magazine size to be accurate is some sort of hard-line extreamist position.
It’s not.
It happens to be the most popular opinion around.
“Damage” is not a real world concept, and reliability is not a factor in game. Not interested in talking about such unrelated matters.
I don’t know anything about the topic, I can’t make the suggestion, and I’d appreciate it if you stopped your intellectually dishonest whataboutism now.
It is related. What you post essentially is saying is “I want all equipment to be statistically identical to their real life counterparts, besides recoil and damage. I want this over gameplay and balance”
That is the entire basis of ur argument. I want to see you keep to that. So I’m expecting a rate of fire nerf for the German short 75 and a mag nerf to the type hei auto.
This game is built off historical inaccuracies. Stop trying to tear down the foundation.
The game is built around WW2, stop pretending it’s not there.
Get new material, this argument is uninteresting, we’re arguing in circles. All you can muster are whataboutisms, off-topic rants, and your own feelings.
You can want what ever you want, but again this proves my point how irrelevant entire “Historical” / “realistic” accuracy is.
As clearly, this doesnt take in account any other historical attribute.
Hence the historical accuracy / realistic argument is rather pointless as everyone seems to have quite extremely different standards on said subject.
There was one ancient Waffen-Revue article with passing mention of something like a 20 round STG mag for testing curved barrel attachments for tank use.
But nothing seem to come of it as test were done too late and were cancelled in the end.
