Axis BR II shotgun: Becker Revolving Shotgun

:white_check_mark: weapon type:

“Becker Revolving Shotgun” is shotgun. Axis urgently needs a good BR II-class shotgun to expand its arsenal and meet player needs. In this proposal, I suggest introducing the Becker Revolving Shotgun. The blow-forward action with the manually-operated, revolving firearm and a semi-automatic-like cycling feeling requires a manual priming after each shotmakes the weapon kinda unique and could also enrich the gameplay.

:white_check_mark: suggested BR:

→ BattleRating II

:white_check_mark: type:

→ event weapon without squad

:white_check_mark: availability:

→ In my opinion the “Becker Revolving Shotgun” should be added as event weapon.

:white_check_mark: gameplay purpose & role

→ The need for an effective shotgun in the BR II class is evident, as the currently available options lack the flexibility and firepower required for close-quarters combat on urban maps. Shotguns are particularly useful in close quarters and can be used against infantry.

:white_check_mark: historical datas:

  • designer: Deutsche Jagdwaffen-Gesellschaft m.b.H.
  • designed 1899
  • produced 1920s
  • estimated approximately 100 were built, however there is one with serial number 755 which could mean more were made
  • action: blow-forward
  • caliber: 16 gauge
  • magazine size: 5-round cylinder
  • barrel length: 24 inches (61 centimetres)

another vote for the a german shotgun: Axis BR II shotgun: Walther toggle-action shotgun - Suggestions / Weapons - Enlisted — official forum

I already have my reservations about the Walther Automatic Shotgun, but this thing really screams “civilian firearm” to me… Weird revolving action, 16 gauge shells, produced by a hunting company, bairly 100 of them made…

At least the W.A.S. was produced in the low thousands by a military company…

The browning auto 5 was a civilian shotgun for Japan

The most likely way the Germans would get a decent shotgun is if the Dev’s gave them captured Browning auto fives or 1912 Winchesters, especially since shotguns were not part of the German war doctrine. Otherwise, they are probably stuck with the Driller. :joy:

To be honest, I am almost surprised that the Soviets haven’t been given Auto fives or Winchesters considering the lend lease act which technically could have provided them. The Winchester would be the most likely candidate for lend lease or captured weapon since it was more widely used by the US then the Browning.

i see it similar. it´s a civil one, the walther is better as military

no the walther would be a possible one, far more then this one.

thats the question. i know no proof that soviets get shotguns by LL contract.

then vote for the walther-toogle action shotgun which I linked at the end of my suggestion. That is quite similar to the american variants
