It was the bigger Troop carrier version of the normal smaller Trippel SG 6 Amphibious Car Trippel SG6 - Wikipedia

At the request of the military, a version of the SG 6 was built with an enlarged interior for transporting up to 16 soldiers. This military variant of Schwimmwagen was manufactured from 1939 to 1943.

I think it could be a cool Event vehycle with a squad,

Battle Rating 2 or 3
Partly based on the squad equipment!
I think maybe 16 soldiers would maybe be OP?
Then the Number should be reduced maybe 10-12 soldiers?

Isn’t the VW type 166 the more iconic option and first to add?

Oh yeah and 10 soldiers is greater than even the dedicated fodder infantry squads and unprecedented for the rider(?) class.

This is more a SPW!

But his smaller older brother the normal trippel SG-6 would be more a rider vehycle

But i see the bigger Trippel SG-6 pioneer as more of a pure Spw with much more crew space!

I think in the English version its called APC even if they are not armored!

Riders are useless, not to mention that Germany already has two premium riders.

So make it APC instead.

Riders now arent really usefull.

But there exist idears to make riders more usefull!

The big Trippel SG-6 Pionier should be a APC!

But the smaller normal Trippel SG-6 could be still be a rider vehycle!

Schwimmwagen was used in all campaigns(atleast those present in Enlisted not the invasion of Poland, France or the initial invasion of russia) compred to the SP-6 was a special pioneer/SS vehicle and was mainly deployed on the eastern front and limited parts of the west and to my knowledge none ever sent to north Africa.

The Schwimmwagen had over 15,000 units produced vs the Trippel SG-6 having estimates between 800 and just barely breaking 1000. The Schwimmwagen Could fit the Mg42/34 though field modded versions existed with a 2cm Gebirgsflak 38 which functioned however if in the water the 2cm flak gun would capsize it.

Schwimmwagen just makes more sense and could be branched out on a little with a machine gun version (Br 1-2) than a AA/cannon variant (Br 1-3 ) depending on if its given to Riders or not.

Butt if you need a bigger vehycle to transport much more Soldiers max 16 Soldiers.
In game most likely the soldiers to transport will be reduced.
Then the only Amphibious option would be the bigger Trippel SG-6 Pionier

There’s a DUKW in one of the Normandy loading screens, which makes the lack of a DUKW even sillier.
