The Chinese camp: The most promising way to save the game

As the title suggests, I believe it is necessary to expound on the importance of introducing the Chinese camp.

  1. Launching a Chinese camp presents huge business opportunities.
To this day, we can say that there is no truly online FPS game themed around the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression. This situation is caused by many reasons. However, I believe this is not a prohibited area. Chinese players have a huge demand for games of this theme. Among all current World War II - themed games, “Enlisted” is the most likely to achieve this. This is a real blue - ocean market with no competing games of the same kind. The influx of a large number of Chinese players and their financial support (and it’s really substantial!) can breathe new life into “Enlisted”.

  2. The weaponry and equipment of the Chinese camp is not a difficult problem.
As we all know, due to China’s relatively weak industrial base at that time, the weapons used by the Chinese camp were of “world - made” origin (purchased or weapons copied from many other countries), and these weapons and equipment are sufficient to cover the weight levels from one to three. (Of course, China also had some uniquely self - developed weapons, which cannot be ignored.) As for weight levels four and five, we can give full play to our imagination, and it’s not difficult to fill them out (we’ve discussed this over and over again). If you want to question its rationality, why not ask the Japanese camp first? In fact, “Enlisted” has deviated from real history for a long time!

  3. The workload involved in creating the Chinese camp at present is not substantial.
Enlisted has already completed the production of relevant voice - overs, costumes, and facial models. Most of the weaponry and equipment for the Chinese camp can be filled in by simply using the copy - and - paste method. Next, all that’s needed is to create several exclusive maps, improve some other configurations, and conduct appropriate game promotion. This series of tasks is not overly complex or arduous, yet it is expected to bring extremely substantial returns.

China has a large potential market and we have already witnessed it.

It’s a really risky idea for our developers to expand Chinese army into the game. Nobody could promise they are familiar with the complex relationships between Chinese army during WWII.

It’s a good idea, but as I said, it’s risky.

I know that in 2022, you made even bigger mistakes in the Japanese faction. As long as you respect the real history, Chinese players will definitely respect you and your game.

I’m not so confident and optimistic about this idea, becasue there could be many issues need to consider, like if we publish some elements about Chinese army, it could cause irreparable loss like Enlisted got banned from China mainland.

And you should distinguish moderators and developers, that’s not our decision to make Japanese campaign like this. From my view, I don’t like the now Japanese faction as well.

And a supply that is otherwise unincentivized to capitalize on this market given the political controversy of featuring a game where you play as a soldier part of an army organized by the opposing political party the current ruling party deposed.

Like Russia, China has enacted laws on the “correct” way to portray their history.

No one wants to navigate a minefield to see if the rainbow leads to a pot of gold.

The Chinese people can view this period of history in a rather fair and objective manner, especially regarding the contributions made by soldiers in the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression. Moreover, Russian game companies have a natural and significant advantage in this regard compared to Chinese game companies.

step 1) DF drafts a chinese faction plan
step 2) DF contacts the chinese “cultural” ministry to look over it, which they gladly will do and greenlight it
step 3) the chinese ministry will try to insert as much propaganda as possible into it, which DF if smart will limit
step 4) a second draft is send, if intelligently done greenlit by the ministry and the update can be finished and released

thats how every game company does it regarding modern chinese content.

If you have any concerns, you can watch this film, as it basically represents the official stance.

its easier just to reskin and revoice either USSR or US and put them in Chinese campaign then introducing new faction.

Add italiy before adding china : )

Both faction have Big potencial tbh btw i love italian voicelines

If so, why didnt anyone do it so far?

Dunno, not gonna be a inviting faction if you basically replay Axis and Soviet TT with Asians

Does China also has fancy wood tanks and M16 Battle Rifles?

Like two squads… definitly enough for an entire TT.

Dunno what it saya about a faction if we just dump weapons from other factions there, but does not sound very interesting.
Still really sounds like a “faction” no one would really miss given its theoretical “uniqueness”.

Agree, we need more copy+paste.

Shock, a Red Chinese movie about a nationalist general that later switched sides.

Seems that You havent see the italian post at least there the majority of concepts are not copy paste

Since we started with Italy why not UK also since they have even more potential we should kick US out of our faction as the ungrateful colony they are so they can form their own US faction.

All high-tier launchers are German, 4/5 high tier planes are German, so the tanks.
Allmost all “good”/ high tier Italian weapons and vehicles are overtiered and are at best BR3, leaving high BR Italy with German stuff and couple of Italian rifles. Or else no one will use a truck with a cannon over the Tiger I.
And even low BR has German and Romanian tanks, rifles, planes and AT rifles.
Not very impressive.

No. Game’s fine without adding China as a faction

It goes without saying that China has potential since it literally was a whole theater of this war, but I see that it is more complicated than every other faction because of their lack of gear. I still think it’s possible in the future, but not now

But one thing is clear if we need new factions Britain and Italy are first. Or at least they should be better fleshed out as sub factions. There are tons of British vehicles that have yet to be added

Yay one big copy paste tree that adds next to nothing to the game!
