I’ve realized that DF’s sole focus lies entirely on economic gains and Active Matter; there is no other topic that can divert its attention. Today, let’s specifically talk about the topic of money.
There is an indie game themed around World War II. The average number of online players for this game merely hovers around 100 to 300 people. The development team is extremely small, and the overall quality of the game is far lower than that of Enlisted. I have no intention of promoting this game, so I won’t reveal its name here, even though many people may already be familiar with it.
A week ago, this game launched a new DLC. Within five hours of its release, the number of online players of this game soared to 12,026. At the time I’m posting this message, the number of online players is 2,983, which is during a period with relatively few online players. This is about twenty times the average number of online players before the DLC was released.
In the first post I made on the forum, I have already clearly expounded my point of view.
A large number of Chinese players have already demonstrated their stance through their actual actions. If games related to the theme of China’s War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression are launched, they will enthusiastically pay for them without caring about the quality of these games.
In this regard, the first game has taken the lead and achieved remarkable commercial success. Currently, it’s not too late to develop a second game of this kind. Among numerous games themed around World War II, no game is closer to this goal than Enlisted. If DF is willing to seize this opportunity, then a promising and foreseeable bright future awaits it.
If DF is eager to obtain huge profits, then giving up this opportunity is definitely not a wise move.
If Enlisted is destined to become the second CRSED and Active Matter is the only thing that DF cares about, then I have nothing more to say.
Question: The first Sino-Japanese war was an older conflict yes?
The invasion of Manchuria 1931-1935 and then 1937-1945 these are both seen as the Second Sino Japanese War?
Id like to see how German tech (used by China) fares against Japanese tech.
It would also be welcome change in new maps, faction and weapons.
People whinge copy paste but in War Thunder I actually quite like the Chinese tech tree precisely because you can have American, Japanese, German and British tech together.
Oh side note, what is this small game doing regarding Chinese flags? As you would be aware the official flag of China during the Second World War was the red background, with blue square and white sun i.e the current flag of Taiwan.
War Thunder for the tech trees used the current PRC flag though tech used by the Republic of China appears with a ROC flag and ROC roundels on aircraft etc.
The War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression (1931 - 1945)
The Republic of China (1912 - 1949)
There is no so-called “national flag” of its own on that small island.
We just need to respect history and should not believe those malicious media that distort facts.
If you have any doubts, you can take a look at how the game I mentioned was made.
i really find it amusing that you consider Easy Red 2 " low quality game " and somehow explicit inferior to Enlisted.
( FYI, i wasn’t sponsored, and not to rip enlisted apart but: )
yet, ES2 have
larger battlefields
has more factions, cosmetics etc ( granted, i am of the idea that not many factions can really be applied onto enlisted if they do not reach V. and still am of the idea to just integrate them within the US, Germany or USSR as sub factions instead )
actual house destruction
working bow/hull tank machineguns
more players per lobby and more active vehicles on screen than just 2
patches on uniforms ( granted, we used to have them here as well, but no longer )
Coop & PVE ( which it’s not an event thing every once in a year )
realistic artillery call rather than " point on a map and click "
better voice lines and more gritty
more light vehicles, scout vehicles, apcs etc
actual historical accurate uniforms,
singleplayer
inventory system where you can take grenades or ammo from dead corpses and keep fighting
actual & proper modding documentation
working mods that don’t break very often
the ability to upload custom content
actual scripting
slighty better animations ( even top mgs reload on vehicles or getting in and out of vehicles )
with that being said,
it does have a worse graphic, somewhat less content due to the more historical nature, and the AI is kinda there as well. also, it does have AI squads like enlisted.
if anything, it’s a rival to which Enlisted really struggles to compete.
or… the skeleton crew that is left struggle to compete.
because as it seems, Active matter has the priority.
or maybe that modern looking enlisted they are working on and hinted the first of april to see if there’s interest.
no, i don’t hate enlisted. but it’s always the same soup with some differences each time is made.
not many gamemodes… same bugs that keeps riddle the gameplay, feedback that seems to be disregarded ( just look at the april fool just to be the exact same thing as the HW one ) and not so many substantial updates. we keep going on based on false promises and empty chatter.
seems to be almost on it’s last leg.
but i digress.
now, onto the topic at hand for china as a whole,
china really wouldn’t have much to compete.
it would be just a recycled tech tree from the soviet, a little bit of germans and lots of allied choices.
it would barely reach br III.
hence, i’d rather keep the way chinese squads gets added.
through event or premium.
but i’d be up for customizable squad specific roles similar to TT one for more customization.
beside that, china doesn’t really have much.
similar to italy, or uk.
where it’s much more beneficial to be subfaction of the main one.
The topic of discussion is still about making money, rather than a certain game, technology tree, sub-faction, or anything else.
Yes, the advantages you mentioned are indeed the features of that game. I have no intention of belittling it, and I’m also one of its supporters. However, among the 4,309 people currently online, I believe that the vast majority of them were not attracted by these advantages but by the Chinese faction.
The issue of the technology tree is debated every day on this forum. Those long-winded arguments from everyone really give me a headache. I believe that the current technology tree is not reasonable. But this is just a secondary issue. If DF wants to make money, it will do anything, including people in can-like outfits and big wooden clubs.
In the past, there was a truly outstanding post that discussed the topic of sub-factions in great detail. I believe its quality was sufficient to put an end to the discussion of the sub-faction topic. If DF could adopt its suggestions, I wouldn’t have to speak here.
I welcome the addition of the United Kingdom, Italy, France, or other new factions. However, what can DF gain from this? If they can’t make a large amount of money, they won’t be willing to do it, not to mention that there are already signs that they might abandon the game now.
This is the easiest and most profitable way for DF.
so the premise of your theory doesn’t really stich either.
i’m afraid we’ll have to agree to disagree due to having beeing " debunked " in the past as well.
that’s the point.
it doesn’t benefit anyone but the people asking for said TT to be separated.
it’s just better to keep them under one " faction " that contains more nations.
what you’re asking for, contradicts the very nation of " making money ".
and in no way shape or form is more profitable than to just add said squad under the US.
hell, i’d argue, let them add more chinese weapons and uniforms as squads.
so that modders in due time can make more historical and well polished mods which will include china vs japan.
I must reiterate that this is the flag of the Republic of China (1912-1949). If you insist on holding this incorrect view, I have nothing good to say to you.
