Submachine Guns Crouch Tilt Walking Accuracy at 30m or more

Never in my 20 year gaming history have I asked for a nerf, but I think this one is needed. Been playing Enlisted for 2 years although I’ve only noticed it becoming a regular issue now - why I do not know.

Submachine guns shouldn’t be able to shoot accurately while the person is leaning into a crab-walk. Or in other words, if you are crouched, pressing q or e (leaning 45°), and walking sideways, you shouldn’t be able to accurately. It is something out of a cartoon. But it is something that is regularly happening and it is a huge immersion breaker.

If you go out and shoot a 500 round a minute submachine gun while crouching-down walking sideways, and also leaning 45°s, you won’t hit shit at range without a lot of practice and a strong body. Even then it’s probably luck or enough bullets. Especially if you do it back and forth every 3 seconds. Immersion breaking at it’s best. By rights walking sideways crouched with a submachine gun should have accuracy penalties beyond the 30m mark.

Dev’s please fix this. It shouldn’t be hard. Some people will probably hate this suggestion but it’s loony toons as it is now. God help a new player who only has a bolt action when someone is leaning strafing from 30m or more away doing crab rave and 3-4 shotting them while they are behind cover… As it currently works.

Reminds me of “soup”, a dancing sniper I would tag team with standing on a hill in bf1942 market garden map. He’d literally continuously jumped side-to-side on top of a hill the whole match and snipe people. Either while jumping or on the rebound and call out targets to for me dive bomb/run over. I’d then run people over with my plane between dive bombing the tanks.

Don’t let this game become call of duty. Plz.

There seems to be a lot of support for some sort of nerf for leaning in its current form:

Both of these posts got pretty good reception so hopefully the devs take notice.

Thanks man. I thought about posting that for a few days but tonight’s matches made it clear it is needed. This isn’t something that’s going away naturally. Figured there’d be some hate but this is

@1942786 Check this out!

I agree.
I would like to note that I think you should be able to BRACE when leaning around a corner, but doing it out in the open like you are saying is getting quite ridiculous.

Just shoot him into head, I never had any problem with it. I really don’t know why it should be nerfed, it’s not something OP.

I’m not sure you get the point if you think the original ask is unreasonable.

I really dont see this very often, game is just too fast to do things like this. :man_shrugging:
The only time I am noticing leaning is in room to room fight and that’s very reasonable.
There’s tons of shtts that breaks immersion a way more than some naive leaners who thinks crounching/leaning will somewhat help them in open etc. For example funny popping out of rally points.
But that’s just my opinion. If it’s so important for you, I really dont care if it devs somehow rework.

I don’t really see people leaning in my games except for the occasional sniper behind a window.

Just a piece of advice for you, go into the options and simply ignore Adamnpee. He is notorious for being an absolute troll and derailing topics, especially if it’s something that will hurt his gameplay. Its just not worth indulging him.

Well Sir Captain Adamnpiss-a-lot. I’m sorry you have such a state that you have to troll a free to play game.

Have a good day

As Adamnpee deleted multiple messages he posted I’ll leave this one here. I was being “Over dramatic… Rant Rant Rant”.

Silly. So Adam

Because you deleted/change them too. So my replies didn’t make any sense lol. Nice hypocrisy.

Seems like you certainly aren’t unreasonably triggered nor overdramatic.

i’m pretty sure that if you lean irl as quickly as you can ingame then you would throw yourself as your brain tries to correct for rapid motion

Should apply to all guns and not just smgs. Leaning while walking = accuracy reduction.

But again, lean is still reasonable and useful when approaching edge of cover, so this nerf should only limit speed and/or firepower during changing position to lean or a very short time after, which only limit random and frequent leaning without tactical need. The firepower at lean position may not be affected, otherwise this will make even prepared and necessary lean almost useless.

So whats the solution here? More random bullet deviation? Because thats the opposite of what the game needs.

If you really think leaning is such a problem, simply think about giving people slower walkspeed while leaning.
