I’m just curious, why do some players do that stupid thing that they always lean to one side while shooting?
I saw this a couple of times and I also noticed that the only players who di this are the sweatiest ones, always with top-tier equipment.
Probably because they are emulating their scoliosis to feel more immersed.
as long as behind wall is kinda useful to reduce target offered
In that case it is useful, but there are some people that do this whenever they start shooting and stop immediately after they stop shooting.
It’s as if they had a keyboard macro that activates both leaning and shooting at the same time.
And these players always have top tier only equipment and a marshall rank, which makes me wonder - is there some other game that is very competitive (again, these players are always big tryhards) and in which this strategy is useful?
I read the title from outside and knew this would be the topic lol.
I’m ashamed to say that sometimes I do that in the open, but I always try to do it when there are no people around.
I never do in game though
i do it now and then
but since i m not on my 20s no more, its getting harder for my old fingers
99% time i will do it on strange weapon sights like owen smg
There are solutions in discussion.

It’s sometimes usefull to not only check corners, but to get a bit of extra height to shoot above some obstacles.
But i definitively needs some added recoil if someone just starts spamming it, it looks retarded
I think no. This is a grinding game, the only advantage of them is:
If you also have top tier full auto weapon, the best thing to do against these sweaty players is to spam back and prove how useless is that.
That’s a fair point - with top-fed weapons leaning is kinda useful just to see more while aiming
I really like that I’m not the only one who thinks that this looks stupid and is incredible immersion breaking. To be fair though, the best solution I can think of is some sort of inertia system so that moving in any way while shooting would decrease accuracy.
because they get lucky with it one time and think it makes them amazing
I’ve even been killed by people who snuck up behind me and in the kill cam they are leaning…like wtf I’m not even facing you
2 reasons:
a) they bound their control buttons in a way that they automatically lean always to get an unrealistic advantage
b) they have low testosterone
it just should be nerfed by giving very high dispersion, because its the most biologically and historically inaccurate nonsense ever and makes the game look like fortnite.
It becomes a habit after abusing it too long i guess.
I tried to do that to understand what kind of advantage leaning provides.
Results: zero, it actually makes aimimg harder and confusing my mind
multiple reasons:
- strange sight guns like owen and ovp1918, zb26
- avoid headshot
- if there is a corner, hide the body
- seems that action triggers reduce spread perk.
- not sure if it makes joint recoil direction different
I like to lean when it makes sense to lean and look to check around corners or to use for cover and avoid getting hit
but people doing it while running and gunning out in the open to dodge, it just looks like they using macros to me and they trying to do that matrix dodge, and though I doubt they need it for an advantage, it probably just helps sometimes to confuse some players that are looking for the head shot
There is extra satisfaction in killing leaners, as you know you killed an actual player
In some other games where TTK is longer, that lower chance of been headshot may outweigh its drawback, but not here.
You just get used to doing it and do it out of instinct after a while.
No macros needed and for one to think of that needing such in mentioned scenario is quite silly if u ask me.
On the topic of macros in a game like Enlisted, the only useful ones are rapid mouse left-click macro binds for semi-auro and burst fire weapons because regardless how fast one can mouse tap, an algorithm can and will always do it faster.
Last but not least :
leaning is useful for corners, or when you need a little wiggle room to see your target better (something small is blocking you having full vision, or the height isnt quite right)
but the guys that do it while out in the open do nothing more than draw attention to themselves. Its quite handy knowing instantly which jackass is them)
The other day I was killing with my BAR, and some leaning kid came out from behind a building, out into the open, still leaning and I shot him straight in the face with the BAR, that was just beautiful.
I also like it when we destroy the enemy team, but they keep on leaning even if they get slaughtered.
They should focus more on the objective than on that useless leaning.
