Well, how about the devs? Do you think they are willing to actually do a big overhaul? I do think simply removing them would be sad, because Soviets did actually use armor quite a bit.
We know that the devs did some experiments not too long ago, like the Japanese Paratrooper squad with the gun shields, or the Japanese Rider squad which also has working armor.
Non the less, there really isnt much official communication about that topic I guess
One can criticise the game having too many deserters, while also deserting.
Does this automatically need to be hypocritical?
Like should I be reporting a bug, also abusing it usually will make it get fixed faster.
I use body armor despite me being the number one person complaining about it.

It would be a blatant lie if someone came up and said they’ve never deserted a match. Everyone has done it at some point. I personally don’t see it as a fair argument in a debate, as often times it’s something a player can’t control and instead it’s the matchmaking system’s fault pulling a number on the player.
Back on topic, I personally don’t use the cuirasse in my Soviet lineups. Mainly for aesthetic reasons, as that’s the way all cosmetics should be for. A while ago someone said that that cosmetics for soldiers should have no advantage of armor, and I agree. No matter how small that percentage is, IMO.

Maybe i need to show Clans wars to them (U45N as URRS and RGD as Germany)
URRS won 3 out 4 games i know players from both Clans and i can say that “Skill Issue” are the words that do not describe them so in equal conditions we can cleary see a winner
Oh yes I forgot THIS IS BEFORE THE AVS-AVT RECOIL BUFF… I can’t imagine what would happen if we give 20 rounds AVS-AVT to URRS…

Just look at me hehe i’m Main URRS at the moment and i enjoy eating more bullets with no problem oh yes… My new Uragan SMG is literally a pocket sniper aswell
Quite interesting that i consider myself a “not to good player” but for some reason the stalinium gives me Powers or smt
But well that doesnt means that whenever i use a booster i got a hard Game or a literal stomp (magical stuff

In clan battles all players have body armor, but in regular matches there are few body armors.
By the way I never use them, I’m not one of those hypocrites who complains about something and uses it! I complain about KT and use Tiger E instead, and i never touch body armor either.
It says nothing about balance on a live server.
We recently played BR5 Germans. And each time we ran into the EVA clan. They lost. And it didn’t seem to matter that they had much better KD.
The average skill of Soviet teams on the live server is so crappy that it’s extremely hard to counter balance it. 
And I certainly hope we never get to the point where the game is balanced based on how individual weapons or factions perform in a closed clan environment.
If you counter balance skill issues - you are making the game unbalanced, because balance means that the better team wins - and nothing else.
The argument that armor doesn’t matter because players are bad is completely irrelevant.
Bad players with BR5 gear will win against bad players with BR1 gear. Good players with BR5 gear will win against good players with BR1 gear.
Just because I can beat most players in BR5 even with low BR guns doesn’t mean I should be forced to do so.
Playing better should make you win. And if the enemy wins because he has better gear, then the game is unbalanced and not worth playing.
Well, it doesn’t matter. Because the game will be unbalanced either way.
But at least you’re not getting the steam roll kind of matches. If you are trying to counter balance skill issues.
