Reduce costumization card price instead of gold value, or rework entirely how the customization works

first thing first,

needless to say;

REGARDLESS of prices.

but since i have a feeling you guys didn’t wanted to actually fix that, you opted to take the easy way out and reduce prices instead.

after all, not a bad thing right?

wait what?

from the preliminary changes.

which it’s interesting.
VERY interesting.
and you know why?

truly some deep analysis were needed to come up with this.
also, note how they never mentioned gold? fascinating. isn’t it.

kinda Everyone:

because let me get this straight,

you seriously charge people and then expect for said people to buy cosmetic that:

  • do not match with other pieces due to a lacklaster selection
  • do not match weapons pouches ( somewhat ties with the first point for the same reason )
  • do not carry over to other campaigns presets DESPITE potentially being there ( primarily talking regard helmets, pants or other type of shared items that some of them are present in order presets )
  • have to buy multiple uniforms across 4 nations or outright several presets?
  • cannot use premium/event cosmetics bought/grinded off of premium squads onto other vanilla squads

sure, i was dumb once.
but let’s take as an example then an average user.

typically, optimal case scenario, let’s count in total 8 squads

4 for high br and the last 4 for low br ( not even counting those in br III… or veterans such as my self with ALL squads presets filled )

the averange users has only 4 slots. 3 infantry + 1 vehicle

in which they usually “have” to cover tunisia, moscow, stalingrad/Rzhev & occasionally normandy in low br.

and then also for the high br presets, berlin, stalingrad / rzhev, battle of the bulge & normandy.

( consider, only for the current campaigns. god’s knows when and if we’ll get new ones )

but roughy, around 252 orders ( more or less ) just to cover all 4 squads.
but here is the catch, only for one present of one br.
hence they would need around 1008 just for a single present of high or low br to get adequate looking soldiers in a ww2 game that do not look like rushed recruits at the front.

and you expect people to buy more?

here are the solutions

  1. keep the prices as they are, but make it so that each cosmetic bought is universal to the squad or faction

which i doubt at this point will ever happen.

hence,

  1. decrease prices of cards… and i guess gold as well needed across the board if users have to buy it individually on all presets

as much i understand cosmetics might not appeal everyone, it’s infuriating how apparently the PR and advertisement team keeps throwing out historical remarks, lie outright giving false scripts to CCs that they have to read and mispread to their audiences and then have soldiers that barely has any kits on;

you’re telling me… is this how airborne units actually look like?

not at all to me:

pistol pouches, riggers and much more is missing.
for 8 cards too.

so please, i beg to reconsider.

good thing i had enough squads to dedicate presets.
but i’m not sure how " safe " that one is either:

the variety of clothes is very poor.

I would really like to be able to use the premium squads and event squads form.
For example, upon the fact of their acquisition or receipt.

I miss this form for snipers

and on the contrary, this white helmet will be unavailable to the partisans (
It annoys me that the uniform is assigned to squads that can get boring to play with.
I want more freedom

It’s also really annoying to buy dozens of helmets for one squad of five people.

The clothing item must be unlocked once and can be used indefinitely.

Japanese need to buy uniforms in one campaign
ussr must buy uniforms in three campaigns
usa - four
and finally, Germany needs to buy clothes in six campaigns

in such conditions any price will be unfair between nations
especially considering that it would be a good idea to separate Rzhev and Stalingrad. as well as TO and Burma. And we expect new battlefields

under such conditions, buying a uniform once is simply a necessity and not a whim of the players.
let the helmet cost 100-120 cards, but then it will be available to all squads an unlimited number of times!

At least let me use the cosmetics I got from premium and event squads on progression squads.
Its just dumb that some “unique premium uniforms” were added to customization such as San Marco uniforms or British paratrooper uniforms, while for other faction marine uniforms (such as USSR) are premium only.

its even more insulting for japan who its not even matching colors and worse its about they lack, many stuff like the anchorage helmet symbol (for give one example) of japan naval landing forces ( the jap marines)

I hope that when I own premium squads and event squads, I can purchase their unique clothing.
This is more conducive to the sales of premium squads, isn’t it?

that would be great.

problem is.

no idea if they can pull it off.

as far as we know,
the only " restriction " type of cosmetics exist on a single BP item the german closed hat similar to the stalingrad machine gunners ( from bp 16 if not mistaken ).

perhaps they could make a similar exception to users with said event or premium squads.

but… no idea.
spaghetti code still haunts us to this day so…

I also noticed in the test server that they are selling customisation orders for gold in the store to ‘complement’ this change. It’s like 450 gold for 100 customisation orders as far as I can remember.

i… literally included it below it.

My bad. I just saw it.

Apart from soldier customisation vehicle customisation also needs a massive rework.
In the test server I noticed that they have introduced the ability to change the condition of your vehicle (as in how much wear and tear it has faced). You can also minimize, maximize and rotate the custom camo which you have bought for your tank.
But what is the use when they are so much greedy concerning vehicle customisation that 90 percent of the player base won’t be able to use it?
I had made a post about fixing this illogical system a while back but as usual it seems to have fallen on deaf years.

yes.

but that doesn’t have much to do with card prices.

Yeah. But I figured this goes well with the discussion since it also concerns buying customisation items with gold and their lopsided implementation.

Since we are talking about customisation prices there is another major bug in the test server.
All the custom AI faces which I had purchased have been replaced with their default faces. I was assured that this issue will be passed on to the relevant developers. But if this persists then I including a lot of others will have to buy custom faces for their soldiers again.

It is 2 customisation orders each for a standard squad of 7 soldiers. That amounts to 7×2=14 soldiers for a single squad and 14×3=42 customisation orders for a single faction. Taking into account 3 infantry squads for F2P players. This finally comes down to 42×4=168 customisation orders for all the factions combined. Oh and I haven’t taken into account the vehicle squads as well. So there you have it.
These soldiers are also missing their facial hair which has further diluted their purchase value as of now.

This was most likely caused during the previous update. It was also passed on to the developers. But hasn’t been fixed till date.
