New premium squad to be added tomorrow + squad nerfs

You solely cannot stack all of the perks of the same type anymore and are forced to use some variety

So, gutted. Flat out gutted and a hard nerf that makes these squads nowhere near as good as when one bought them.

I don’t see the need for making them objectively weaker.

Yet you support… making them objectively weaker?

You get 4 soldiers that won’t get the perks they used to get.
A fully upgraded assault squad’s going to be better now.

still ignoring this

lolololol

I think they are still much better in CQC compared to regular squads

thanks for calling us idiots.

but unlike you, we actually care in making an "safe & fair " enivorement.

not screwing balance just because someone paid more.

No point in doing it and causing another balance war. Soviet mains will always oppose one of their equipment getting nerfed. We’ve seen it multiple times already.

They won’t be better because you only get 4 soldiers. Which is worse.
You don’t even get more perks to compensate.

The combinations of perks these squads offered were rather insane:
+35% health
reduced flinching on hit
+200% medkit effectiveness

These 3 combined would let a premium soldier soak up drastically more damage than normal. This perk combination was never intended and thus has been removed. You can still opt to go for +35% health, -70% recoil, +10% movement speed and 2 more utility perks.

I rest my case.

4 soldiers that are worth 5.4 soldiers thanks to their extra health.

For the first 2-3 months you do get the perks to compensate, as nobody else will have maxed out soldiers.

Yeah you are that guy who think Soviet mains are all cry-babies compared to aryan German chad mains

Make a separate topic. This is not the place for that discussion

I fail to see how that’s even remotely bad. I paid for that combination.

4 soldiers that are worth 5.4 soldiers thanks to their extra health.

Or you could revert the size limit nerf and make my squad decent again.

For the first 2-3 months you do get the perks to compensate, as nobody else will have maxed out soldiers.

Again, the time investment doesn’t matter in the slightest. Stop using it as an argument.
If you want the perk nerf - keep the squad size. If you want the size nerf - keep the perks so there’s SOME point to using the squads.

No. You paid for this:

I am not interested in keeping these squads as overpowered as they were during CBT.

You would spend 30$ on a cinema ticket for a movie that lasts 2 hours, but not 30$ on a premium squad that can give you 2-3 months of enjoyment?

I do not expect these to stay relevant forever, unlike you. I expect to be able to spend enough time with them to “get my money’s worth” and nothing more.

It’s more of a bug fix because I don’t think they were ever intended to have double perk capacity. At least, not officially.

this is my last warning or I’m calling the Moderator

And as I said it before, PPD is full of buggs and we can’t make a conclusion until it is fixed

Did I even frickin ask for changes to PPD in this topic!?

I paid for CBT access and a squad that’s better than the free squads.
I wouldn’t pay 30 bucks for CBT access if it didn’t include a good squad.

but not 30$ on a premium squad that can give you 2-3 months of enjoyment?

I don’t see war thunder’s premium vehicles being useful for 2-3 months. They remain useful as long as you own them.

They wouldn’t have that perk capacity if it wasn’t intended.

Oh, and, of course you can’t even train regular soldiers with premium squads anymore.
Which is another point to them being useless.

You assumed them to be better. Nowhere on the Gaijin store does it state they are better? You should have read the store page better. They do not owe you anything more than they promised you there.
If you want to P2W, you can go do that somewhere else. We do not appreciate P2W in a historical game.

There are plenty of bugs that slip by initial testing.

  • M2 Hyde had 9 damage on release, instead of having the same damage as the other SMGs of the USA.

  • BA11 was literally invulnerable half of the time.

  • Flamethrowers would have such high recoil they would instantly fling your screen upwards vertically

wut
This existed.

If you want, I can continue about a lot of gamebraking bugs.
But I think you got my point.

Please read this.

A “historical game” where russian army gets the 8mm lebel chauchats, where units come with WW1 carbines stock, where germans in 1941 get a 1945 simplified mauser, where there’s an M4A2 in normandy, no T-34s at moscow, etc.
There’s nothing historically accurate about enlisted.

Please read this.

A bad solution to an issue that can be avoided by… not nerfing the squads.

Were actually used in Moscow according to historical documents.

Benefitial for you as you get maxed out SMGs

Probably limits to the amount of models they got.

Was used there so I don’t see how this is an issue

For balance reasons, just like how this is getting nerfed

They are getting nerfed whether you like it or not. You can either keep complaining about it, or move on.

In militia units. Not siberian reserves.

Was used there so I don’t see how this is an issue

The US army never used the M4A2. It was used by marines in the pacific and by allied countries. There were M4s, M4A1s and M4A3s in europe, not M4A2s.

They are getting nerfed whether you like it or not.

Of course I don’t like it lmao, that’s like cutting your car up after you bought it to get it in line with the worse cars.

All five sherman variants (M4, M4A1, M4A2, M4A3 and M4A4) were present on d-day in one way or another. Also it’s Normandy campaign, not solely d-day.

More like finding out the engine did not abide to safety regulations and gets replaced with the proper engine intended to be in the car.

good ol’ times
