No point in doing it and causing another balance war. Soviet mains will always oppose one of their equipment getting nerfed. We’ve seen it multiple times already.
The combinations of perks these squads offered were rather insane:
+35% health
reduced flinching on hit
+200% medkit effectiveness
These 3 combined would let a premium soldier soak up drastically more damage than normal. This perk combination was never intended and thus has been removed. You can still opt to go for +35% health, -70% recoil, +10% movement speed and 2 more utility perks.
I rest my case.
4 soldiers that are worth 5.4 soldiers thanks to their extra health.
For the first 2-3 months you do get the perks to compensate, as nobody else will have maxed out soldiers.
I fail to see how that’s even remotely bad. I paid for that combination.

Or you could revert the size limit nerf and make my squad decent again.

Again, the time investment doesn’t matter in the slightest. Stop using it as an argument.
If you want the perk nerf - keep the squad size. If you want the size nerf - keep the perks so there’s SOME point to using the squads.
I am not interested in keeping these squads as overpowered as they were during CBT.
You would spend 30$ on a cinema ticket for a movie that lasts 2 hours, but not 30$ on a premium squad that can give you 2-3 months of enjoyment?
I do not expect these to stay relevant forever, unlike you. I expect to be able to spend enough time with them to “get my money’s worth” and nothing more.
It’s more of a bug fix because I don’t think they were ever intended to have double perk capacity. At least, not officially.
You assumed them to be better. Nowhere on the Gaijin store does it state they are better? You should have read the store page better. They do not owe you anything more than they promised you there.
If you want to P2W, you can go do that somewhere else. We do not appreciate P2W in a historical game.
There are plenty of bugs that slip by initial testing.
M2 Hyde had 9 damage on release, instead of having the same damage as the other SMGs of the USA.
BA11 was literally invulnerable half of the time.
Flamethrowers would have such high recoil they would instantly fling your screen upwards vertically
This existed.
If you want, I can continue about a lot of gamebraking bugs.
But I think you got my point.
A “historical game” where russian army gets the 8mm lebel chauchats, where units come with WW1 carbines stock, where germans in 1941 get a 1945 simplified mauser, where there’s an M4A2 in normandy, no T-34s at moscow, etc.
There’s nothing historically accurate about enlisted.
Please read this.
A bad solution to an issue that can be avoided by… not nerfing the squads.
