All five sherman variants (M4, M4A1, M4A2, M4A3 and M4A4) were present on d-day in one way or another.

The product’s contents that were not specified in the bundle on the store page happened to be stronger then then they will be in OBT. You in one way or another determined they were stronger and made your choice based on that, on top of doing so in a beta environment where everything is subject to change. That only shows a lack of proper judgement on your end.
These nerfs will not be reverted, at least not straight away. So instead you can suggest other ways of making this squad worth it, or just accept it and move on with your life.
Kinda sucks the premium units are weaker than the standard sort.
A non-premium squad gets…
5 assaulters (all with equally good equipment)
1 Radioman (to do the occasional emergency arty strike
1 Engineer (who alone is better than anything else in the game because respawn points>Anything)
Premium gets…4 guys…Woo, and nothing else!
I own three prem squads, but for the sake of balance, I greatly support the nerf of the premium squads.
They offer you a good starting point without being OP forever.
