I own 3 premium squads myself and am happy that they got nerfed as it increased their gameplay value for me. I did not get into this game to brainlessly shoot people. I want to have a fair engagement against F2P and Whale alike. They will still have a big advantage over anyone who does not whale through the entire campaign with the work-in-progress monetization systems for the first 2-3 or so months.
Just because you think they are worthless, does not mean they are worthless to everyone else. If you disagreed with these nerfs, you could have put in your 2 cents in all of the anti-premium-squad threads.

If the ‘free2poor’ stop playing the game, then there won’t be any rifle armed targets for the P2W players to shoot at. The devs deserve to see this game live for more than 2 weeks.

First of all, please stay constructive. I will not continue this discussion if it isn’t constructive.
The guns themselves are fully upgraded and unique. Some of them offer gameplay experiences you cannot otherwise have for that nation.
The only weapons a normal assaulter would be able to carry in that secondary slot would be a shotgun, or a starter rifle. Neither are particulary powerful, especially considering the low recoil of these premium SMGs, making them perfectly viable for mid range engagements.
extra soldiers are arguably not needed as you get the vitality perk, giving each soldier +35% health. So these 4 soldiers count as 4x1.35=5.4 soldiers in terms of health pool. And as said, thanks to their upgraded guns, their DPS is on par as well.
For the first 3 months, as previously stated, normal players will not have any rank 5 soldiers. These rank 5 soldiers will outperform any individual soldier on the battlefield for those 3 months, with the exception of the aforementioned whales. Until then, you can enjoy these squads very reasonably.
If 30$ for 3 months of enjoyment too much? Because that’s how much they’re asking for the premium subscription that is in closed testing rn as well.
As I also stated before - I am currently allotting my budget to see whether I could buy the M2 Hyde squad.
4 soldiers with double perk capacity compared to any other soldiers were objectively OP.
4 MP41s/M2 Hydes/MG30s with objectively better stats than any other weapon in their class were objectively OP
7 assaulters/gunners objectively gave you the highest DPS in the game across a full squad. Sure, they may have lacked flexibility, but not any raw power.

Depends on who you ask. If I buy an extra slot and a premium squad, I can dominate game even more than I now without premium squads. The premium squad will not be taking a slot that I really need then. They will be useful in attack. And I can choose not to use them while defending and rely on conventional squads.
As for new players, they’ll find the early advantage very helpful until they get an idea of maps. It also helps with the faster progression. They have no clue how OP premium squads were in the first place. So, less complaining from them. Just like the current PPD recoil.
The premium squads are far from useless. They still boast the highest combined dps in the game.
The time investment is completely irrelevant. Plain and simple, the new premium squads are a downgrade compared to the free2shit.
Either give everyone that bought these useless “premium” squads a refund or revert the nerf, there’s no other option if they’re a decent company.
Their upgraded guns don’t mean much when they’re just shitty SMGs with zero options for longer ranges.

2 months of completely different performance is irrelevant? By the time those 2 months are over, they could have buffed them back up to full strength, for all we know.

Have you actually used these weapons in semi-automatic or short, controlled bursts at mid range? They perform very well when used that way.

In what way are they even remotely useful now?
You only get 4 gutted soldiers with gutted perks.

The soldiers have not been gutted. The current premium soldiers will keep their 5 stars.
The perks also have not been gutted. Their effectiveness remains the same. You solely cannot stack all of the perks of the same type anymore and are forced to use some variety because you do not have double the perk capacity of a normal soldier anymore, instead being the same as a normal soldier.
Some of the biggest supporters of nerfing these squads, including me and @ErikaKalkbrenner, have agreed that further nerfs are for now not needed. We will look at this again after experiencing the squads for ourselves when OBT to decide whether this nerf was not enough, just right, or too much.
I don’t see the need for making them objectively weaker.
But unlike you, I do not see the current proposed nerfs to make these squads objectively weaker.

I am not complaining at all here. I am simply refering to people who still consider PPD recoil high. The current recoil is no where close to how it was on alpha. And I still think it’s way too less considering its high fire rate but that’s a different topic. Almost every Soviet main I’ve seen don’t appreciate how good the PPDs are in its current state. The highest DPS in the game with the lowest recoil per shot.
This is the same case for premium squads. CBT players won’t appreciate how good the premium squad with 4 soldiers is because they are used to seeing the killing machine it used to be. I tried changing people’s perception on PPD and it did not work. It will be the same for premium squads. Simply ignore people complaining about it. I am sure that the new players will be much more appreciative of the premium squads. Although, I do think that 30$ is a bit of steep price.
