I suggested it to be for a cool event squad with unique outfits in the past but thats not going to happen I guess.

I feel like it was originally meant for an event squad but it got scrapped, same goes for the cut down M2 carbine. Both are a perfect fit for guerrila event squads.

if it existed as a prototype and was tested at least, it is not made up. Also, for me, the current squad system with the already used weapons ruined the historical accuracy for me. A Rpd and As 44 stuffed squad was not realistic. Yet everyone runs around like that in BR 5. So i accepted it. Now i dont like enlisted for its historcial accuracy, but because its an unique ww2 themed shooter. The exciting part for me is also the weapons which are blueprints, which i have never seen before.

The exciting part for me is also the weapons which are blueprints, which i have never seen before.

I like this part of the game, so many forgotten and interesting weapons in history that get a slight nod in the game, but there’s a time and place for everything and inclusions in the tech tree need to be balanced after real world use and in game need.

Since the PPSh-41, however interesting, has neither, it shouldn’t be in the tech tree. The gun is cool, and should therefor not be thrown away. Sorry @Veekay45, I count myself as a fellow purist but I guess I’m less radical, I believe in compromise, event weapon is the only possible solution (DF are not going to throw out the gun, there is no scenario in which this could happen, only thing we can do is damage control).

The point I’m trying to make is that this is an issue a lot of people feel very strongly about, and specificly in one direction. Enough so that they took the time to make their own replies to voice their own concerns, as well as writing two topics within the span of one day to ask for this change.

People either don’t care or care very much one way, as we’ve seen on this topic.

best solution is to use it in a event after the update drops. It would still be free and it wouldn’t be in the tech tree, everybody wins!

This is ultimetly the best and simplest compromise solution.

Before this update drops, do not give Japan this fictional sawed off M2, instead give them a M1 instead. Note that yes this gun is going to just have the standard 15 round magazine of the M1.
