The PPSh-41 (S) should not be included in the tech tree. There is little to no historical evidence of its use, let alone mass deployment. Making it a standard tech-tree weapon would misrepresent its historical obscurity.
This weapon would fill no balancing need, and no tactical niche that requires it’s inclusion in the game. Otherwise you’d be adding similar items to other tech trees too, but you’re not.
All other suppressed weapons in Enlisted, many of which were more common, are limited to events, premium squads, or the Battle Pass, as they should be. This preserves their rarity and reflects their limited real-world use these types of weapons actually saw.
This is not a balance concern. It’s about maintaining historical authenticity. The tech tree should represent widely-issued, documented gear unless balance absolutely demands otherwise.
Keep suppressed weapons special, do not add one to the tech tree!

Something like a 550 rpm 7.0 damage smg or 20rd select fire rifle (what the russian forum has been begging for for several years) for the soviets? Nah, lets add a random paper weapon (literally copy-pasted from a BP one) and a premium copy-pasted tank for the Germans!
This is such a disgrace. A slap in the face to all people that bought the premium content and all the people that worked hard on suggesting real and needed weaponry.
If they want to add the fictitious SSh-41 () to the game it should be an event squad or premium squad weapon.
They honestly could have just created an event to go along with the upcoming update, and add a Japanese Guerilla squad with the “M2” Sawed Off + a Soviet Guerilla squad with the SSh-41 () as rewards for the event…but nah…nah
And yet, Gajin/Darkflow said “fuck that” and HAD to make Soviet Bias real by adding the ONLY SUPPRESD WEAPON YOU CAN RESEARCH TO THEM. It’s honestly the stupidest thing I’ve ever seen besides them adding jets to this game
Yet again DF shoots themselves in the foot, because the best candidates for other factions (Sten Mk II (S), M3 SMG for the UK/US respectively, MP 40 for Germany) are all already in the game as event or Gold Order content.
What can they do?
Move these to the tech tree? I mean, not entierly opposed to event stuff (less so GO) being moved but there’s definetly arguments against it.
Add more bullshit to the tech tree? Just why… you didn’t have to do this in the first place, it’s a problem you yourself created…
It’s clearly already in a working state (hence play testing), best solution is to use it in a event after the update drops. It would still be free and it wouldn’t be in the tech tree, everybody wins!
