Correcting the American WLA, and giving the Soviets and Japanese their deserved Rider class

Darkflow, did you know that WLAs were hardly ever equipped with sidecars and eventually not given them since they were not used for combat roles?

It was only when they would get shipped to other countries that WLAs were equipped with sidecars. The Soviets would receive 30,000 WLAs and have to equip their own sidecar since the WLAs didn’t come with any. The Soviets were developing their own motorcycle (M-72) but could not get it mass-produced due to the 1941 invasion.

The Japanese had their motorcycle (Type 97 motorcycle), but only 18,000 would ever be used.

Here is what I am proposing:

  • Either get rid of the sidecar on the WLA for the US or allow us to unequip it and equip it at will in the menu.
  • Give Soviets the regular Rider class with the M-72 as the standard bike
  • Give the Soviet-modified WLA as a premium squad
  • Give the Japanese their Rider class with the Type 97 as their standard bike

If the player decides the WLA will not have a sidecar, let the rider shoot with his weapon in one hand. I do not care how bad you make the recoil. I hope you give it large amounts of dispersion. But as long as the WLA can equip and unequip the sidecar, then it is fine by me.

Why would you seriously want darkflow to spend time nerfing an already virtually useless squad?! If anything they need to add a third seat to the WLA to give it at least some functionality.

In general I’d like them to give every faction motorcycles

If by “nerfing,” you mean making the WLA have higher maneuverability and giving it a lower profile, then sure.

If you want a Motorcycle that was used in a combat role, then you should be asking for the Norton WD16H (68 MPH), which not only has a higher speed but also weighs less. But while you are trying to camp far down the road with your sidecar mg, I will have already found their tank and set a TNT charge or will have already found the enemy’s rally point.

Heroes and generals motorcycle shenanigans were amazing.

Also the dread of any tanker…

How tankers saw motorcyclists ignoring the ENTIRE battlefield to come right at them:

Imagine what the Soviets would do in Berlin with their premium WLA lol.

Reminds me of myself…

But I did more stupid stuff for the sake of doing stupid stuff. Like taking unnecessary jumps with my motorcycle to go over trenches and crash (literally) in the faces of ppl from the other side instead of safely disembarking behind the conveniently placed crates just beside…

Or ram ppl with it…

Or ignore the fight and create racing buddies with the enemy, and do laps in the middle of the battle, to the annoyance of many.

Enlisted needs this fun immediately, Riders will then have a purpose

Ppl whined a lot, but H&G was pure fun. Janky mess, but fun.

Battles were also more tactical than Enlisted, with the multiple attack lines that could go back and forth… And that’s not even talking about the “General” part of the game…

I miss it. Shame Reto had no idea how to run things and got bought by tlm loosers, who were even worse…

(Also, knowing H&G, Enlisted babies who keep whining about “paratroopers being op and ruining balance” make me laugh.)

LOL

Effective balancing of paratroopers has to be a large map size and automatic spawn of the defending team to the next point. If the distances from each objective are far, then paratroopers will be wiped out even if they land on the point. The majority of the battles they base their maps on are extremely huge. The actual Stalingrad has many more buildings and openings to sewers due to artillery and bombs, and even the buildings Darkflow added miss out on their sheer size by not scaling it correctly or not utilizing the ground floor. If I were to go and read German and Russian testimonies of the Battle for the Central Station, I guarantee they would tell me that there was a ground-level floor they fought tooth and nail for.

They missed out on important buildings like the huge “X” building, the fire department, and even an entire road:

The blueprint is laid out in front of them; they even have examples of people who followed the blueprint but, for some reason, they refused to follow it. Even with home runs like Guadalcanal (Tenaru River, Edson’s Ridge, Henderson field). You can’t tell me it would not be easier to make this instead of an entire village, town, and an unnecessarily complicated trench:

Proving it was knee-deep:

Maybe this is all a big misunderstanding, and these are just accidents, but even at that point, accidents still need to be fixed. Luckily, the devs have a wonderful community that is able to find pictures of the battlefield to help them fix their mistakes.
