“Earlier we announced that engineers transferred from the “Battle of Stalingrad” campaign will retain their ability to use automatic weapons.
But as testing has shown, these engineers significantly hurt the balance. You have noticed it too.
We have decided to remove this privilege, which not only harms the balance between experienced players and newcomers, but is also difficult to explain within the game to those players who will meet an engineer with such a weapon in battle.”
I find the change to be quite hypocritical, as the US already already retains the capability of an ‘assault rifle’ with the M2C which their engineers can use, yet the devs see no issue in that? I feel that a better solution to reward those who ground stalingrad would be to allow engineers, wherever they came from pre merge, placed in one of the stalingrad squads to be able to use assault rifles, and a maximum of one of such squads can be brought into battle. I feel that this solution sufficiently compensates those who played stalingrad all this time while not making the engineer squads from this campaign game breaking post merge.
Vehicles have their own characteristics, and aircraft have their own characteristics. The game allows you to mix and match those traits organically. Blocking this style of play would ruin the game by blocking the ‘flexible’ behavior that Enlisted has had since the beta.
Different standards. I am fine with prototype and experimental stuff because it is still true to the faction. It’s just one of many different pieces of content that make the faction unique
That is just some one off captured things
And yes I think they should remove the Panzerfaust from Soviets
I am only in favor of “captured content” if anything significant was done to it to make it unique, otherwise we might as well have both Americans and Germans using Stgs
For example, I believe the Soviets turned a captured panzer into an assault gun or something. Therefore unique
Since we’re all discussing weapon classes, captured stuff, etc
Let me just say that I think they should remove the Panzerfaust from the Soviets. I can certainly manage with anti tank rifles for now, but they can add the experimental RPG-1 and PTG-44 (basically their Granatbusche)
And I also suggest that you make AT soldiers drop their gadget upon death so then you can grab the enemy’s if you want
