Willys m2hb anemic

I managed to acquire the Willys M2HB today, and after three frustrating matches I can say that the M2HB’s damage is completely nerfed, practically weaker than the Browning M1919’s damage. In some cases, it takes 3 to 4 direct shots to eliminate a target, which is ridiculous for a 12.7 mm caliber. To make matters worse, the weapon’s angle of inclination is extremely low, making it completely useless against aerial targets. For comparison, American tanks use a machine gun mount similar to the Willys and have a superior angle of inclination, making it easier to engage aerial targets. Therefore, I propose that the damage of the M2 mounted on the Willys be equivalent to that of the M2 used by a machine gun squad engineer, and that its muzzle rise be equalized. near the firing elevation of the M2 machine guns mounted on Sherman tanks

Elevation is the term and yeah, it’s a joke on all the off-roaders the M2HB Willys is particularly bad because GaijinFlow handicapped it for no real reason and made the .50 cal straight ass. if the M2 hits you like in real life if it doesn’t out right kill you it should put your ass in a downed state.

There are stories of the M2 blowing dudes in half that’s how powerful .50 BMG is.

News flash, so is the one on the tanks.

And I’ll repeat this every time this is repeated, remove the lead indicator and then increase elevation to near vertical for all I care… especially if they increase damage… if this receives the build able HMG damage with AA indicator that would genuinely be a little too powerful against planes.

This isn’t an AA vehicle… it’s a jeep with a heavy machine gun strapped to the back… and it isn’t an infantry farming one either… it should be a novelty.

Suppose when you put it like that It sounds fair, Lead indicators are pretty crutch for me maybe it’s better to leave the damage where it is if and just allow some more elevation. On a slightly different note I think the fairly long reload is good to balance the low overheat, however I would like it if the fire rate was tweaked lower so the 100 rounds would stretch further plus it’s odd being so high (comparative to normal). I’d rather they leave the damage and we get the elevation buff because it’s pretty feeble currently. It may not be a dedicated AA vehicle but it should be able to shoot some low flying planes because you cant do that effectively now, could be 60 degrees up doesn’t need to be 90 that would look pretty silly…

It’s should be good because it’s a novelty not bad because it’s a novelty

Been using them as mini engineer squads that’s a novelty, except like a mini fridge it’s worse off.

The damage has nothing to do with AA abilities. It was also originally intended as an AA gun, it later became just a universal HMG, but was still used for AA. The Italian jeep gets AA (lead indicator) with a 20mm, which is much more effective in AA abilities. I see no reason why this one shouldn’t also get that along with high damage for infantry.

Absolutely a trash trade off. Infantry is the primary target, if it takes 3-4 shots to kill a single soldier it’s worthless. If it’s only purpose is AA you’re better off building a 20mm AA to do the job better

I used it once. It felt less effective than the normal Willys. I probably won’t use it again.

I hope they buff it quickly, because I was really so upset the first time I used it

I have such expectations for heavy machine guns. But instead, we get a child’s water pistol.
This film showed what a major caliber should look like. I’d like to see something similar in this game.

If it does at or around 8-10 damage that would be good, AP mix belt means you can take on lightly armored vehicles like an APC and take out planes. Whilst I’d like it if it did high damage like a Turner SMLE or something but people would probably say “that’s busted”. I think it would be best if it could do a number of different things but the poor elevation and small squad let it down the most IMO.
Another thing it’s always easier and quicker to roll up with a vehicle with AA capability than to use time building an AA 20mm Polsten.

A 10 second difference is worth having a significantly better cannon to take out planes with.

It currently does a whopping 7.5 damage bruh. All the TT jeeps do 12 damage.

Yeah I hear you a bit of an increase wouldn’t hurt but as to AA often it can be a time waste IMO something like the M3 half track can take out low flying planes at no cost to time ergo when your setting up the mobile spawn. AA emplacements are good but not always worth the effort when a BAR can take a low flying plane out or better still an HMG with good angles…
(edit) Also if they did increase the damage their should be less damage drop off compared to .30 more mass ect.

With how slow the reload is and the reduced ergo and mag size I dont think giving its emplacement stats would be that busted.

That was always meant for and used as an anti aircraft weapon. Should the Polsten have its indicator removed because it is an autocannon? Or is the role it was intended for more important than what type of weapon it is?

No probably not too busted, but peoples will be upset guaranteed with especially with less overheat when it’s yours its fine and when it’s theirs it not. IF it were completely the same including the yucky overheat then nobody could call it OP but it wouldn’t be great or even good with such an overheat (can be quite intrusive).

Honestly I would be fine with that, wait no I wouldnt because having to reload replaces the massive overheat.

Reload happens less often than overheat at least with lower RPM it would go further too.
IDK it doesn’t feel like a HMG, it’s like calling a 2005 Ford Thunderbird a “muscle car”.
