The VG 1-5 is overperforming in the current BR III balance environment, even when compared to a theoretical BR III 30-round M1 Carbine,

  • it feels cheap to fight against as the pure spamability of it is very potent allowing one man to hold off entire squads solo without reloading

  • its stats almost mirror the m1 carbine besides the vgs much higher velocity and higher damage this makes it feel less like a lightweight carbine and more of a sudo assault rifle giving it complete dominance in cqc while still having reliable 3 kill damage at long range with incredible accuracy

  • The higher damage and velocity of the 8mm Kurz should be compensated for by worse mid-to-long range performance, primarily through a dispersion increase, and also in a modest recoil increase,

  • This change is not arbitrary, historically the VG 1-5 was a last-ditch weapon intended to rapidly arm the Volkssturm. It is quite strange that a weapon of this poor level of construction quality has better dispersion that the actually higher quality military-intended assault rifles in the game. A dispersion and recoil nerf would be both a balancing measure, as well as a nod to history.

  • If everyone desires its current stats to remain raising its br to 4 would keep it from entering br 2 lobbies where it is entirely unmatched against the 5 round semis but this would leave its as the highest br carbine

I like it the way it is. I would also be happy to see the Soviets and Allies receive similar weapons, such as the KB-P-330 and M1 Carbine with 30 round magazine.

I’m sure the Japanese could have something similar too, with enough searching.

I could see the argument of uptiering the weapon if all intermediate caliber rounds dealt more damage, but since they can’t one-tap soldiers without vitality at any range, it’s not a concern.

it is so irritating to fight with how insanely accurate it is for something made in a bombed out shed having entire squads just laser you with near perfect accuracy or one guy just wipe your unit within a few seconds

Just because its a last ditch weapon that doesnt mean it needs to shoot sideways.

they were junk this is a know fact with the weapon in game its near perfectly accurate it wins out in both range and cqc

1 tap isn’t needed its flinch is enough that once you get hit your unable to retaliate accurately

I think it’s quite balanced where it is PCC’s and Carbines are my favorite type of weapon, if anything we need a M1 with a 30 round mag or an M3.

were not talkin shoot sideways more so reduce its accuracy to a realistic level as it has no kick and nearly no dispersion

even unupgraded ones have dispersion smaller than a dinner plate hip fire spammed

its still better tan an m1 even with 30 rounds mian issue is its insane accuracy it has no kick and low dispersion even when hip fired you can just tap away and get kills from decent range without aiming or hold off points for free with a rifle men

AT BR3 it’s fine and their is no m1 with 30 rounds (yet). :peace_symbol:
Still no substitute for a ZK or a MG 34, but quite handy on engineers.

down teirs the vg is a monster especialy against the 5 round semis who usualy need 2 hits

A bolt action would fix that problem, like get a Ross rifle or Winchester
