Unlock Legacy Squads via End-Of-Tree Research Instead of The Silver Box

Legacy Squad Silver Box

While YES, it’s fantastic that legacy squads will become accessible, it’s only going to be indirectly via gambling silver in the silver box. This presents the following core issues:

  • Legacy and Alternative Squads will be earned based on chance, not direct and actionable progression.
  • Unique Event Squads will be harder to acquire, as adding these squads to the Silver Box will dilute their chances to be acquired dramatically within the “Squads” unlock loot pool.

So instead of this, I would like to see Legacy Squads be unlocked with tech tree XP. This can be done either once you have unlocked everything within a tech tree, or have just reached the end of a branch. It provides an endgame grind for players that is directly actionable, instead of collecting a bunch of silver and hoping for the best.

Would you like to see Legacy Squads unlocked via tech tree XP, instead of the SIlver Box?

silver box is cluttered with too much bullshit, every weapon is like a 1% or 2% drop

Of the 5%, I think, chance to get a weapon in the first place. So your actual chance to get a specific weapon lies somewhere between 0.05 and 0.1%

I honestly doubt they’ll do this, like how they srill add the gold boxs even though a majority was against it. Hope to god they don’t ever return

I have spent over 2 million silver to get some of the event squads I wanted and I can’t get them because even when I unlock an event squad, the percentage for the US paratrooper Bren mk1 100 that I want is near 0. So I get garbage anti aircraft vehicle or some tier 2 bolt action.

I understand they made limited time events with rewards you can’t get later easily so they encourage players to play consistently, but this has become a major disadvantage for new players for sure. I am not a new player, yet I still suffer from missing many events, because I can’t play the game all the time.

I think legacy squads from silver boxes should get greater probability than premium and event squads (like 2% or 5%) because they are something less than them: no XP boost, no special weapon, no unique customisation, no access to premium/event slot.

This said, they are still rarer and more precious than TT squads, they are a reward for those old players who supported the game from the beginning. So I don’t think they should be made easily available for everyone, that would mean robbing old players from something rare they own. (BTW I do have some legacy squads, but far from all of them).

How hard is it for them to read this year? What is wrong with you? Did someone really have to point it out for the millionth time that it should be for research points?

Are people grinding 500k research points for each legacy squad not enough already? I’d grind 1 million research points if that’s what it takes to get the legacy squad I want.

I don’t give a :heart::heart::heart: about increasing the squad drop chances. Nobody wants that except for you filthy money gobblers. :fu:t2:

Wouldn’t it be better to get it for free XP—say, 150k or 200k?

And why not add the option to upgrade the research squad using Free XP for all nations?

Hey guys, what you suggested is also what I want. But I believe many people here (including me) will lose up to 70% of their interest in the game once they’ve used up all the technology resources xD. And Gaijin knows that. So, putting things players want into the silver chest with a near-zero chance is Gaijin’s way of keeping players engaged. Even if you suggest 1 million research points for a legacy team, when converted to silver, it’s only 20,000 silver. So they’ll never give you that for 20,000 silver; they might make you pay 2 million silver xD

Your “near-zero chance in silver chest keeps people playing” is pure bullsh!t. It pisses people off, makes them quit, and only you money gobblers love it. The only reason the majority voted for it to be research points is because we want to earn them one by one, even if it takes a long time. We want to earn the squads we want with actual grind, not your Ret!!red box. :fu:t2:

Let’s do some math: Let’s assume we make 15 total squads (including current tech tree ones) unlockable for each squad type (13, 14 including saboteurs), and each of these squads costs 250,000 XP. Let’s assume every squad type already had 3 available (that’s what it is on average), It will cost you:

12 x 13 x 250,000
= 39,000,000 XP per faction
39,000,000 x 4
= 156,000,000 XP Total

I’m sure that would keep players occupied for quite a while, in addition to saving silver for limited time silver boxes. It would also introduce a proper end-game goal to the game as well.

If you earn 25,000 experience points per round, it will take 6,000 rounds! That’s way too much.

its supposed to be an end game GRIND ofc it should take a while

End of research tree should give a whole lot of global rewards to encourage grinding through all nations TT.

Free squad slots for example or unique camoes for infantry and vehicles to show and promote dedicated players, also how about a customizable Patatrooper squad at the end of the TT?

Also forwarded, but the final decision is up to devs
