yeah same thing I was hoping really for Assaulter Italian squad 
Alt squads are for Germany (German / Italian squads) and the USA (American / British squads). At the moment, there are no plans for USSR or Japan alt squads, as those research trees don’t have multiple nationalities in them.

Bold of you to include the Sten Mk V in the promotional illustration while the gun is not available in game.
Regardless, this is a great event. Alternative squads for other nationalities are a great idea.

Players continuously asked for years to bring back legacy squads over and over - and we now are.
Legacy squads never had extra XP or special other benefits, they were always simply extra tech tree squads - which is what everyone wanted. You can customize them to your liking like with tech tree squads, and you can’t do this with event or premium squads.
NOT ONLY are legacy squads coming back (in silver chests, so all will be able to get them if they didn’t already), but we’re also giving MORE squads via “alt squads”, and the purpose of this is to give those who desired more “other nation content” a voice, which is a lot of players. UK and Italian squads (for now, maybe more in the future) are now going to be commonplace in Enlisted, rather than hidden in some awkward way for only specific classes and players, so you can customize and make full squads of British and Italians more easily without forcing them into USA and German squads that may not have appropriate uniform, among other immersion points like squad name and icon. And do remember we’ve said that this is just the start, we will have “alt squads” for other classes too, if you’re hoping for a specific one.
The purpose of this event is not to give new weapons - but to do what players asked, and to give you all more choice, and experiment giving more access to other nations, as well as an easier time to set up squads (since, with this, you’ll soon be able to make more setups for different BRs without needing to switch soldiers’ equipment around all the time), among other things.

Well I would be happy to have Event LMG squad with Japan for early BRs and more paratroopers and BR II planes since Japan really need more squads and USSR actually have legacy squads I even own some plane legacy squads.
Wish Japan can get some Legacy squads for vehicle since I really run out of squads with Japan.

The issue is that this is not the first time that a new weapon/vehicle is teased in this way and yet is not even added to the game. For instance we had the M3 Halftrack for USA.

And you’re absolutely right to do so, but you shouldn’t put them on an event, put them directly on the tt, it makes more sense
They are “blank” squads without unlocks attached
Putting them in the tech tree won’t make much sense as players would complain they dont unlock something new

Question : will these squad be lvl 1 when unlocked ? Do we have to level them up ?

But what about alternative slots like for instance choosing between an engineer and a Radio ?
I wouldn’t mind leveling them up. I do enjoy the sense of progression.
And there isn’t much to progress on these days.
Do they have special roles or same roles like the other Italian LMG squad in the TT ?
