They could allow shooting while standing and crouching, but with heavy spread.

In fact, this game lacks Battlefield’s system where you can mount your weapon anytime there is cover ahead. Unlike the MG42 in Battlefield V, you cannot simply prop it against a wall. You have to press the B key manually to set it up for firing, which is really cumbersome.
I believe this weapon should first get hip fire, so players can fire while standing or crouching. It also needs a more flexible passive weapon resting system: when within half a metre of cover or suitable surfaces, players can aim and shoot without pressing the B key.
If implemented like that, it would be overpowered at BR2. Right now it feels weak only because DF released it as an unfinished product. It was supposed to be a unique weapon with fresh mechanics, but it turned out to be a dud that no one wants to use.
Since the AI cannot utilise its mechanics, it poses almost no threat.
It belongs at BR3 and requires plenty more polish for weapon resting, firing and other functions.

There are no pictures of a semi auto at gun being fire not prone, or supported by a massive table ect, ect
