Some of those rifles were already dead before (the German ones especially). They should move the automatic rifles to the machine gun section and in BR5 add high-capacity semi-automatic rifles. The rifleman class is pretty much just for show when even the automatic rifles aren’t really useful, so they would gain relevance. And while they’re at it, nerf the Stinger MG. The Pacific in BR5 is practically unplayable against it, especially since in BR4 and 5 Japan’s machine guns are more of a burden than their counterparts.
I truly think that guy deserves a ban if he commits another offence. He has derailed too many topics and instigates too many pointless disputes to be welcomed any longer.
Back to the topic, I don’t think it necessarily kills BRV but more thought needs to be put into recoil adjustment. Devs should only increase vertical recoil so it would actually take some effort to use SF rifles well, but not horizontal recoil which makes guns like fg421 completely uncontrollable.
I really miss old Berlin avt40, it was so fun to use.
I think Automatic rifles should be moved to Assault
Full-power rifle cartridges differ from intermediate-power rifle cartridges; a fully automatic rifle is a fully automatic rifle, and an assault rifle is an assault rifle—the two must not be conflated.
Should have been a BR4 rifle from the beginning, now it makes more sense than ever, but to be fair I said that in the past because of its low damage that gets stopped by body armor.
Maybe the devs finally do something about this, who knows.
Yes but Automatic rifles were extremely rare and never replaced bolt and semi rifles as the standard infantry arm. That only happened during the Cold War.
Their entire use is perfect for Assaullt as the premier automatic weapon class
