The Turán II - A native Hungarian tank for the Axis on BR2

The Turán II was a further development of the Hungarian Turan I (The Turán 1 - A Hungarian tank for the BR1 Axis), which was based upon findings in 1941 concluding the 40mm cannon was obsolete and the need for a better armament. So, trials to upgrade the Turan I began. The original turret was redesigned and made larger to fit the bigger cannon that the tank would mount; said better cannon came in the form of the 75mm 41M L/25 cannon, which had been in service since WW1. The armor values are the same as the original I version (although the new turret eliminated a fairly large weak spot, that being the cupola) and it has the same decent speed and dual gearbox of the original. Around 200 tanks total of the second model were produced from 1942-44, and this would be one of the most widely used tanks in Hungarian service during WW2. In game this would be, in effect, a slightly better version of the short barreled panzer 4s, so it should get a similar array of shells; I propose splitting the ammunition into 26 APHEBC and 26 HEAT shells like how the other short 75mm cannon-armed tanks do.

Shell stats for the cannon

Ammunition Type Armor penetration (mm) at a distance:
10 m 100 m 500 m 1000 m 1500 m 2000 m
42/36.M APHEBC (80 grams explosive mass) 72 70 61 51 44 37
42/38.M HE (400 grams explosive mass)
42.M HEAT (515 grams explosive mass) 90 90 90 90 90 90

If it gets added as an event Im gonna cry.

Event would probably be best so they can give it to Hungarian squad with Hungarian voicelines. Unless they of course can do all that for tech tree

event would be the worst by far.
Even premium is preferable over event.

They will have to do something about adding British and Italian squads eventually anyway, devs just need to think forward a bit with a function that allows players to customize their squads which is the easiest way to make everyone happy.

I voted event squad because it would be strange to use a Hungarian tank with Italian or German crew

Finally, an axis tank with an bingus gun

I disagree. Event allows f2p players to also enjoy this tank. I wouldn’t mind having another Hungarian tank for premium as long as we get this one for event

I’m honestly mixed between event and TT. But either of those choices would be nice

Hungarian tanks in Tunisia and Ardennes? Not sure about that, chief

Italians on Berlin seems fine (they’re helping me transferring supplies)

Hm hm just checked its stats, it basically would have 50mm of armor like all Axis vehicles up to BR4, but its HEATs have 90mm of penetration instead of Germanies 80mm of penetration. This little bit of extra pen could help in BR2 for sure, should be more capable against KV1.

I’m the voice of reason, which calmly states that random BS is not “fun”

No minor Axis representation, yay! Let’s remove the Kiraly as well then

People are asking for real vehicles produced in the hundreds that were used in WW2 to appear in a WW2 styled game. It’s not as if people are asking for laser guns or driveable UFOs

Tiger 2, T-28 and Crusader are all real WW2 vehicles.

Maybe you think Tiger 2 in Tunisia, T-28 in Berlin and Crusader in Ardennes is also “fun”, but I think that’s already random BS and not “fun” at all.

Do you suggest minor nations not get represented at all? Because there’s no way to do that the way you’d like to with where the game is currently and going to go in the future.

If I were to sugegst minor nations, the only way I see factions such as Finland, Hungary, Romania etc. implemented is only with strict map locks.
