This is just isn’t feasible because if you really want to add something that could penetrate Tiger 2(H) and Ferdinand, Ho-Ri for the soviet side, adding a tank with 100mm gun, which is T-44-100 in this case alone is not enough. How do i know this? because T-34-100 and SU-100 already struggles to penetrate them at long range(And that’s where the problem is at. At close range, you could penetrate them easily with 100mm whatsoever anyway)You have to give it the post-war D ammunition to make them able to do so. Which is BIG NOPE and nope for me and potentially for many others as well.
Yeah, that is true. When it comes to ammunition, the T31 APHE for the M6A2E1 was never approved for service.
And Soviet D‑series ammunition is nowhere in sight.
Still,
this game has long stopped following strict history.
Given the performance of German and Japanese vehicles in‑game, they could easily hold out until 1951. I just hope DF can handle balancing properly.
You are right: once range opens up, B‑type rounds alone cannot destroy German or Japanese tanks.
But well, whatever.
Tank‑versus‑tank encounters are not very frequent on the Far‑East theatre, so IS‑2 versus Hornisse matches are rare.
Yet in the Berlin theatre, there is a real need for a tank capable of fighting back against the commonly‑seen Tiger II.
Even armed only with B‑shells, the T‑44‑100 would fill that role adequately.
Soviet BR 5 tanks are in a terrible state.
Nobody would willingly take the IS‑2 unless they are getting constantly overwhelmed by enemy tanks.
Yes. But i don’t want the problem to geting worse even more than as it is. Adding post-war SU-9 because everyone gets the Jets(Jets itself was a mistake tbf), adding fake as fake it can get Ho-Ri was already enough. I don’t want to see even more crap like that in the game.
It is hard to fight Tiger 2(H) and Ferdinand as IS-2 i get it and that’s why i always bring up KV-2 in my BR 5 soviet loadout as well. But the way i see it, that’s just what the Soviet have to compromise with. Soviet do have the best BR 5 infantry equipments in the game. And of course, the body armor that no other faction has access to.
In my opinion, even though the Soviet Union had excellent individual infantry equipment and solid foundations, if the war had dragged on longer, they could have fielded the IS‑3, T‑54 and T‑44 during World War II.
Germany was on the brink of collapse, so it desperately threw large numbers of prototype and experimental vehicles into combat. These unfinished designs got their chance to see action and became well‑known.
In‑game, thanks to War Thunder’s reload buff for the KV‑2, its 152 mm gun reload with loader skills is actually faster than the 122 mm gun.
Furthermore, the 152 mm shell has better destructive performance than 122 mm high‑explosive rounds. Even when some of its post‑penetration effect gets eaten by game mechanics, it can still kill infantry.
Given both vehicles can be penetrated by the 88 mm gun, the KV‑2 performs noticeably better. It also has more crew members than the IS‑2.
This creates an absurd, ridiculous situation: playing the KV‑2 is more rewarding than driving the IS‑2.
You see what I mean? It is really frustrating.
This shows how poor Soviet tank options are at this battle rating.
Now regarding body armour. I hope double‑layer helmets and uniforms that give small bonuses to ammunition and grenades get implemented soon. Different nations could compete via these unique clothing perks.
Body armour is an unavoidable topic, yet it is no excuse for infantry to charge straight at enemy tanks.
There was one absurd company called Karl‑Short. They claimed their rifle could penetrate a BTR‑80 at 800 metres, while completely ignoring that autocannons would tear soldiers apart from one kilometre away.
Wait, If I could remember correctly…is the T-44 is just sitting there in the files?
What nonsense are you talking about?
Ho-Ri is the biggest OP tank.
Also, Kikka is currently the only aircraft among all Jets with a perfect attack and defense.
Although the Attacker has a subtitle, considering Kikka and the Pacific’s distinctive aircraft carrier AA, it’s not as bad as one might think.
Even if the T-44-100 is added, Ho-Ri still remains the best OP.
That’s because Ho-Ri’s performance is that much better.
Yeah good luck against nations that can rotate 5 aircrafts… xD How Kikka is better then Meteor or F-80A-5 by what magic exactly ? and you can put two at the same time…
So I keep trying to spawn kill on the opponent’s plane with Kikka on 4Squad.
Honestly, this is actually very valid.
Even if they are caught from behind, the aircraft’s performance is so good that it is also easy to escape by aircraft carrier.
Meteor’s attack performance has been heavily nerfed by the bomb nerf, so it is now used only for AA, and in the case of the F-80, its AA is weaker than Kikka’s.
Each has one problem in terms of attack and defense.
But Kikka is perfect at both.
Since the Pacific aircraft carrier AA is a problem anyway, Meteor isn’t an issue either.
Kikka can be shot by most aircrafts even Yak -3 can deal with you since you have no much ammo. Most of the times in two vs two battles you are useless with kikka since you cant help your ground attacker every time when you are in 2 vs 2 match you know the Kikka is a solo player literally the worst pilots are kikka players that requires zero skill to learn and its just spam aircraft with little trigger control that is easily destroyed against a competent ally player or soviet player at BR V since they can equip more aircrafts then you can.
The game is pure P2W when it comes to air battles.
I don’t think U following a strategy that fits Kikka.
But I seem to remember saying this before,
Because the Kikka has extraordinarily superior engine power and vertical lift, it must claim the ultra-high altitude advantage. (2000~3000)
It is an altitude that no other airplane can ever reach.
You should make the most of this advantage.
This is only possible with Kikka; other Jets are either too difficult to climb up there or impossible.
Kikka is a solo player plane that is literally go to the spawn point spam go back resupply go again since it has very short ammo and a big bomb it requires no skill to use at all. Its the easiest Jet to learn all you need is trigger control.
It’s definitely good.
But as I said, only Kikka can employ that kind of strategy that other airplanes cannot.
Maximizing this advantage makes it easier to outmaneuver the opposing aircraft or counterattack.
But this is off-topic.
That’s BS the Kikka and the Meteor require very little skill to learn and use and the average Kikka pilot and the average meteor pilot can learn their aircraft much easier then the rest of the 3 jets that actually require some minimal brain activity. Most of the kikka players are solo players that god forbids you have one as a wingman in a 2 vs 2 battle you know you are doomed.
I’m sorry but who in right mind, climbs in Enlisted purposefully like that?
What, just for trying to kill their aircraft? Your team would really appreciate that ig when they badly needed CAS. ![]()
Also come on now. Kikka has really bad turn ratio compared to any of the US jets(Which, the turn ratio is like ten times more important than the pure climb rate in Enlisted environment)and a single 800 kg <<<<< 2x 1000 lbs. Simple as that.
It is true that it is easy to use.
However, the only difference is that, due to the superior performance gap between the units, there is a strategy that only Kikka can use.
Just as the Meteor counterattacks before turning with superior maneuverability, Kikka can counterattack with superior altitude—that’s the difference.
Did anti-fascist German citizens look ridiculous when Germany was constantly plummeting into madness in the 1930-40s?
Just because we already have fake BS in-game doesn’t mean we need to open the BS floodgates and all be happy.
And later he will spawn his other plane and shoot you at the back. Really what you are explaining its a waste of time specially if you are against something with good roll rate that can go just on a trade off with you.
Because even if do it like this, team will already be pushing the ground on their own anyway.
Because Ho-Ri is an OP and the infantry’s longsword movement speed has an advantage, JP is a bit more advantageous in ground combat.
If can’t even do this, that means team is incompetent, not the airplane’s problem.
Should set aside the fact that the team is incompetent.
It’s because the problem is with the person.
But when facing the US, this is the right answer.
Because JP is a bit more advantageous on the ground side
So the US tries to deal with it somehow by plane, so just eliminating that can make the game easier.
