We wanted a nice standard version of Gew.98 for a while. I thought this WWI event will be a nice chance to introduce them but that didnt happen. We got Gew 88-05 vs P.14. What is it? Ostafrika?
With this terrible disappointment, I must say we can’t have full WWI experience without a Gew.98.

Perhaps when Tier 0 campaigns are officially added to the Historical Campaign mode, the standard Gew.98 rifle will be officially added to the Enlisted as part of the weapon tech tree.
i sure would love to get the sniper gewehr without the scope on non sniper class!.
the volkssturm used it plenty.
so it’s not totally out of the realm as far enlisted “reasons” go.
