Russian Peoples National Army equipped with captured PPSh 41

German BRV event assaulter squad equipped with captured PPSh 41 (Drum)

The RONA, or Russian People’s Liberation Army (also known as the Kaminski Brigade or Waffen-Sturm-Brigade RONA), was a collaborationist unit formed in 1941 from anti-Soviet militias in the German-occupied Lokot Autonomy region. By mid-1943, it had grown to 10,000–12,000 men, primarily equipped with captured Soviet gear due to its origins as a local auxiliary force.

As it was absorbed into the Waffen-SS in June 1944, it received some German-standard weapons, but its armament remained a patchwork, reflecting poor discipline and reliance on battlefield salvage.

I mainly suggest this for a drum magazine SMG for germany primarily with the release of the M1921AC which i feel performs exceptionally well… suomi SJR is in files and didn’t feel like copy and paste suggesting that so here i go with this.

Unique uniform

Weapon: Captured PPSH 41

This would be different than the mp717r as it is the weapon itself instead of german conversion… they more than likely were using this weapon during their service.

Optional, Unique melee: Trench Club

This is already in game as one of the april fools rewards but would be fitting for this as they were rutheless and or brutal fighters

This would honestly be a really interesting squad for Germany.

It’s the same as adding Chinese collaborationist units to the Japanese, it’s completely wrong.

To me being a candidate of being added to the game is as simple as, “They fought in the war?” “Welcome!”

Soviet Collaborators, don’t see that everyday. That sounds a little neat. We could get some Axis Cossacks as well

Eheheh.

Adding those guys is “wrong” but somehow, Adding Polish squads to soviet faction is “right”…

No double standards at all here, eh?

bullshit.

Guys, it’s just for the game, nothing more. Many of the soldiers who served in the Russian Liberation Army hated communism and joined voluntarily. There’s no problem with that.

I see these two things as completely different. First, this unit was a bunch of brutal criminals, so normally their inclusion would be controversial. Second, in the case of Poland, at that time the country was under full German occupation and over 200,000 Poles fought for the Red Army in the hope that the Soviets would respect their territorial integrity and liberate their country (ha, getting tricked), but these 10,000 were Russians who fought for the aggressors, i.e. those who were killing their fellow countrymen.

I think the RONA is to closely linked to the Warsaw uprising as to have a realistic chance for the devs to consider adding that unit.

If a unit is 90% of the time only known for its involement in certain warcrimes then justifying its inclusion becomes that much harder unless you want to be seen as supporting those kinds of actions in a way.

Most likely to controversial for enlisted (or its devs).

It’s funny that Himmler executed the leader of this group, Kaminski, for his crimes and barbarity. This is one of the most criminal groups you can find in war.

Have you already forgotten what caused all of us to reset our stats and reset our combat pass?

Well, I already gave the answer:

And now I’ll tell you why this squad will never be added.

Article 282.4 of the Criminal Codex of the Russian Federation establishes criminal liability for the repeated propaganda or public display of Nazi paraphernalia or symbols, as well as symbols of extremist organizations or other symbols prohibited by federal law. A prerequisite for prosecution is administrative prejudice—that is, the individual has previously been held administratively liable for similar actions under Article 20.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation.

Subject of the crime:
Nazi paraphernalia and symbols, symbols of extremist organizations, or other prohibited paraphernalia.

Object of the crime:
Public safety and public order.

Prerequisite:
The criminal acts must be repeated by a person who has previously been subject to administrative punishment under Article 20.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation for propaganda or public display of prohibited symbols.

Punishment
Article 282.4 of the Russian Criminal Code provides for the following penalties: a fine of 600,000 to 1 million rubles, community service of up to 480 hours, correctional labor of up to 2 years, forced labor of up to 4 years, or imprisonment of up to 4 years.

The symbols of ROA and RONA (I’m too lazy to translate these abbreviations into English) are included in the list of prohibited Nazi symbols in the country in which Gaijin and Darkflow operate, regardless of where they are legally registered.

We have the SS, NKVD and the Japaneses in the game who committed horrible war crimes I doubt that the Russian liberation army is worse than the Japaneses

As I said, think about what you have to do to make even Himmler object to you…
Oh, you’re right, I forgot about the Japanese. XDDD

Not gonna happen, first of all Russians will hate it. Poles will hate it, and you already can make a Russian axis lookalike in Enlisted

If anything Asano brigade would be a much less controversial option and interesting addition to Japan, perfect for Manchuria campaign.

The benefit of the japanese is that those crimes are largely unkown to the wider wester audience as even the united states helped covering up the warcrimes after the war in an effort to safe face for the new ally against communism.

So the average american might only know that crimes did happen that something happend but not much more or even which unit were involved. Which means that in the west none of the units really have such a reputation for warcrimes unless you ask a historian.

Same as French SS, then…

Don’t we already have one squad of them in game?

What I’m saying is, if it’s fine for some countries, it should be fine for ALL countries.

Well, there are still a lot of things to add (Bulgarians, Romanians, etc. for the Germans and Mongols for the Soviets), so for now it’s better not to add more controversial things to the game.
