I agreed 100%. It’s probably my favourite one, and I cannot explain why, as there’s better ones out there.

Except they do. 9mm luger, 9mm MP40. .45 1911 .45 Thompson. Most of these revolvers fire WEAKER rounds than the SMGs which is correct. The Nagant fires a pathetic round so does the webley
It’s more convenient than a Colt.
And he can kill up to three people for a clip.Well, at least I have a record that much (a distance of about 10 meters, all bullets in the body).

Sure but why would you artificially give it more damage? Its firing the exact same thing. Why would one do more damage? The MP28 has what 20 rounds? Sten gun has 32. Should the MP28 do more damage even though both are 9mm

because pistols usually kill with few shots and not more than needed?

and for the same reasons balanced.
usually, the lower the mag is of the weapons, the more damage they have to compensate.

The pistol is extremely good at shooting at a short distance, its rate of fire allows you to kill the enemy almost instantly.
This is exactly the problem with revolvers, they shoot too slowly and are generally useless in the end.
Then i want my 20 round M38 to do 7 damage while the other 9mms with 30 do 5.7. Balanced right? Logic nope. How hard is that to understand? Get better pistols and stop using the early revolvers
… I don’t think firearms work like that… ? Magazine = only the number of times you can shoot… not the power of the rounds in it? Barrel length works, a certain length allows for a longer, more powerful pressure applied to the projectile after detonation, maybe you meant barrel lenght?

It does, in real life. Because it boost VELOCITY, thus piercing power. It’s also why some smaller caliber rounds might go farther, and pierce more than say .45. .45 will probably do more impact damage, but wont go as far, nor have good penetrating properties; round will travel slower. To compensate this issue, longer barrels are used.
Same principle for tank shells: take the pz4 from Moscow, and the one from Berlin.
Both fire 75mm shells. One is a howitzer, it fires low velocity shells, designed to explode, but having very poor pen values.
Now the 75 of Berlin, has a long barrel. The shell builds up velocity inside the barrel, being pushed by the explosion: it pierces more.
