Remove body armor or make it cosmetic

No reason for this to actually tank bullets, make it cosmetic only. And for you cry babies that say “but irl it could stop bullets”. Shut up. This game is not accurate, prototype weapons see combat, German tanks don’t break down, and there aren’t 20 Sherman’s and T-34s for every one tiger each match. This is a game, and while some nations can have unique things, they shouldn’t be directly over powered and last time I checked, no other nation has anything that can reduce bullet damage or anyway to counter this extra armor besides wasting more ammo.

I mean there’s a chance if the player bought a second slot and assign it to a tank squad so they has both squads that can use the Sherman and consistently died at least 10 time using both squads, it can happen

Prototype weapons should only be limited event/battle pass weapons. However though I really like the Gewehr 43 8mm Kurtz.

The premium Japanese bike squad has body armor too.

I prefer a different solution of the body armor question - give ALL factions body armor in customization.
Especially since there are already candidates for each faction.
Here’s what I suggest:

For the Allies

MRC Body Armour for British

And this for USA

Yes, it’s not entirely historical, but it was developed before the end of World War II, and besides, we already have the T20. It won’t get any worse.

For Germany

Sappenpanzer

Yes, I couldn’t find any photos of it being used in World War II, although I did find some references to it. But… we have Americans with T-20s and M1944 Hydes fighting Japanese with Type Hey automatic rifles, Tokyo Arsenal submachine guns, Type 100 double-barreled machine guns, and Ho-Ri. How historical is that?

image
Besides, it has been lying in the editor for a long time.

And sometimes German use captured Soviet Body armor.
image

For Japan

Bulletproof clothing type 92

image
image

The so-called “new type of body armor for officers”

image

image

Type 3 individual body armor set.

**Bulletproof vests of arbitrary commercial type, from the period of the Shanghai Incident of 1937.

Specifically, the “Army Officer’s Bulletproof Vest” (陸軍将校 防弾胴衣) model developed by the East Asia Industrial Research Institute is structurally classified as the flexible Andō-shiki type.**

They are already in the game, worn by premium Japanese motorcyclists. Just move them to the general customization for Japan.
In my opinion, this is the BEST solution.

If it’s in the general customisation options people will give it to all their soldiers making it appear very common, I wouldn’t mind some of those armour plates being added but only for event of premium squads, otherwise body armour will become too common and Enlisted will look like some alt history game not a ww2 game.

Apparently, we are playing different versions of Enlisted. Because when I play for the USSR, I rarely see cuirasses. Usually, there is only one person in my team wearing body armor besides me, and very rarely two people. And even then, it’s not always the case; often I’m the only person in body armor in the whole team. And I highly doubt that the situation is much different for other factions.

No thanks.

WW2 was not a war where body armor was widely used.

Just because you don’t see it doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen. Also, most newer players don’t know the benefits of armour or don’t have the appearance orders to buy it, but once they can afford to buy armour, most players will give themselves any advantages they can get leading to soviet turtles all over the battlefield.

It is my duty to leave these topics in any place where there is a mention of body armor.

MY GOD!

I’ve read references to the Germans using captured breastplates for so long, but I’ve never seen a single photo. (Although this is not a photo in combat, but still)

We can give the Germans the ability to loot Soviet breastplates as part of my thread about solving body armor problems.

Like for the photo, but I still don’t agree with the idea of giving all factions cuirasses. If that happens, I’ll need a special filter in the settings that turns off the display of this fucking circus. It would be better then to simply remove all the cuirases.

I seriously don’t want all my games to be full of turtles. :weary:

nowhere near best solution.

 1. you need separate currency for body armor giving veterans great advantage over newbies
 2. it is hidden behind customization and only small part of playerbase even knows that body armor gives damage reduction.
 3. it disturbs current gun balance. game should be balanced for 10 or 13.5 hp(wouldnt mind devs removing vitality).

so best solution is removing it.

I disagree. Giving bodyarmour for everyone would ruin the entire point of customization. Why spend your precious orders to get a cool looking jacket when you can buy another pseudo kevlar vest. It would also look really stupid with everyone looking like medieval knights. Just remove the bonus or make body armour take backpack slot with movement penalty
