The Arisaka Type 38 Rifle is a bit ridiculous, all things considered. Not only does it fire a whole 10 rounds faster than any other BR1 rifle but it is also the 3rd fastest firing bolt action in the entire game. Faster than the fastest bolt action ever made (or at least to see combat) The Lee Enfield and what should be its replacement at BR2 (the Type 99 Rifle (Early)). Even more absurdly this is the gun that was considered rather clunky to cycle due to a dust cover surrounding the action.

I suggest that the Arisaka Type 38 Rifle’s fire rate be reduced to 62. This would still be the highest rate of fire on bolt actions seen at BR1. This ensures that the rifle is on par with its peers and that its BR2 counterpart is, in fact, an upgrade. From both a historical and balanced perspective this is the right course of action.
If you think this is still too much of a nerf it could be lowered to a lower amount such as 64 which would make it faster than any other bolt action at BR1.
What would you like?
- It maintains its ROF being 72RPM, 10 RPM faster than any other BR1 bolt action rifle.
- Its rate of fire is brought down to 64 RPM, resulting in it still being faster than any other BR1 bolt action.
- Its rate of fire is brought down to 62RPM, the highest ROF of any other BR1 bolt action.
If you don’t agree then give your reasoning below.

I think it’s fine at the end of the day you get a dispersion penalty when you shoot that quick and it doesn’t allow ADS when cycling the bolt unlike the Ross or Lee Enfield so you need to manually re aim every time because you exit ADS.

Nah, sounds like a skill issue, also what? You’re next going to ask every rifle have their fire rate nerfed to Mosin levels?

Thanks for responding. If what your saying is the case than it shouldnt be a problem for it to get reduced. Even if it doesnt do anything wouldnt it be best to try to make sure everythings equal.

TF you talking about? Put you straw man away please. I only asked for it to be reduced to 62 RPM which is still the highest at BR1. (also who still uses “skill issue” to try to win an argument nowdays?)

It’s one of the carbine style bolt actions, fast fire rate balanced by lower damage. Having 3.6 damage less than some rifles is what balances it.

I am talking about reason, just because it has a higher rate of fire in comparison to other rifles, doesn’t mean it should be nerfed, also, as mentioned by someone else, it does lower damage.
So are most carbines, and they dont have 72 RPM. Also most rifles in game have only 1 damage more, not 3.
If it’s going to have a lower ROF it would need its damage adjusted

1 lower damage isnt going to make a diffrence at the ranges you play at, 10 extra RPM will. Some people will try to say it doesnt make a diffrence but from someone who has played a lot of BR1 japan that extra 10 RPM has won me more gunfights than I can count.
Why bother changing it though? At the end of the day they need luck+ skill to get the shots to connect at max rpm and I respect a player that can do that (because their fighting dispersion and re aiming). Tis a good rifle in game and it was IRL too so I think it’s fine. I can see it’s got a higher rpm but Japan needs some nice things half their planes are overtired and they get Manchuria as their main map now it seems.

To go up by 1? Like I said the damage difrence doesnt make a difrence.
How about you find a training manual for it to see the firerate then prove?
Yes it does. Every stat can and does make a difference otherwise you wouldn’t have made a suggestion in the first place. The difference between 24.1 and 27.3 is significant enough to make a difference in a good number of engagements.

Yes, but it shouldnt be better than their BR2 offering, and it most definitly shouldnt have a higher ROF than the SMLE.

Agree but Mosin levels is valid.

TMs dont have bolt action fire rates because its not automatic, but a quick look at videos of people using it shows that the SMLE can fire much faster.

It has 5 rounds and you need the reload so that eats into the rof realistically. Mad minute would be cool though…

Yes, like I said, I would never want that. I never sugested it. I simply want it to not be a whoping 10 RPM faster than the fastest bolt action from any other nation at BR1.

True but the ROF in game does not acount for reloading, just how fast you can fire it.
