Its quite ineffective to try hit something at 300m with gun that has ~40cm ? At 300m
bullet drop when sights are set to 270m.
Not to mention 30. Carbine has less energy than many smg’s muzzle energy at 300m.

Make the M2 an assault rifle too!
The assault rifle concept was invented by the Germans - while those guns could fit into this category, ultimately it is just an arbitrary name.
The US clearly didn’t consider the M2 being a “assault rifle” because that was not a official designation at the time.
Or in other words: is a MP40 a rifle? Because its barrel has rifling? See, its just words and you can interpret these thing how ever you want.
For gameplay this also doesn’t really matter either, M2 a trooper weapon, and if tou change 30 cal Thompson from SMG to AR all you will get is that tankers wont be allowed to use them.

The only gun in the game that is an AR and fires .30 carbine is the M1944 hyde
To be fair, a lot of people just consider .30 carbine to be a really obese pistol cartridge and not really a proper intermediate cartridge. It has around the same force as .357 magnum I believe.

I personally find MKB42 much more accurate than Kiraly.
dont really think any assault rifle can ohk vitality and they are already br5.
By that logic mg 81 is better than mg 42 100… and yeah… that is the reason.
