The .30 cal Thompson fires the same cartridge as the M1 carbine, and m2 carbine
- Yes
- No
It’d also give the new US Assault Engineers a weapon for lower BRs
In return lower the dispersion and make it be 4. Already the strongest br 3 smg
That’s an unnecessary nerf
It has better stats than a lot of br 5 stuff. The only real downside is mag size which isn’t bad due to the quick reload and dispersion
I feel like you’re kinda downplaying the mag size, also the recoil pattern does limit it quite a bit at range. I think it’s fine where it is, but it would be nice to use it on an assault engineer squad
So what?
Neither of them are considered to be an AR. Your argumentation makes literally no sense.
The sawed off m2 and the m2a1 carbine are AR’s
ArgumentATION? lol Is that even a word?
Assault rifle = intermediate cartridge automatic fire. Hope this helps.
The recoil is fine. Again the mag size isn’t that bad with how quick the reload is.
Also the mkb42 m is literally a 20 round assault rifle in br 4 that if the dispersion on the Thompson is fixed is worse in most ways besides having a bayonet. And the mkb42m is great.
So why wouldn’t the Thompson 30 cal do well at br 4? Do you rlly think it’s balanced at br 3?
I’d rather keep the Thompson .30 where it is now, the dispersion and recoil keeps it fairly limited at range compared to the Mkb 42(M). They’re both event weapons, so there’s a bit of scarcity to justify them being good.
Well we don’t even need to got br 4 to see why the Thompson 30 cal should be br 4. Let’s create a hypothetical br 5 30 round 30 cal Thompson. Same stats otherwise maybe slower reload. This would be a side grade if not better than the Hyde. Trading rof and reload for recoil and dispersion. Both of these are much much better than the mkb 42 H. Now let’s go back to br 3. The mkb42 H has a 15 round equivalent that still performs quite well at the br. The Thompson 30 cal is a better platform AND gets more rounds. So why is the Thompson 30 cal the same br as the mkb42 H 15?
I see the Mkb-42 15 as a side-grade to the Mkb-35 honestly, each one being slightly other than the other in different categories
effective range of atleast 300m.
m1/m2 sights are max set 300yards = 270m
bullet drop is rather significant between 270 and 300m on this specific gun.
so no.
Hope this helps.
I’d rather they just made all US Carbines universal weapons, like the VG 1-5, equipable on every soldier class…
Well all of them should be classified as such
