PPSh-41 (early) in the USSR development tree

Hello. I came across ppsh_41_earlu_gun in the editor, which is a complete copy of the MP-717(r) (or is the MP-717(r) a copy of it… it doesn’t matter). Knowing how much the developers love the PPSh, I propose adding the PPSh-41 (Early) to the USSR’s 4 BR progression.

Also, if you add the PPSh-41 (Early), set the MP-717(r) to a combat rating of 4.

Yeah, they’re pretty much the same as the PPD-40

I don’t see how it could be placed at BRIV. It’s just a PPSh-41 and that rightfully sits at BRV.

I would add that they should put back the
MP-717(r)
In axis TT.

They removed it for no reason. Yes I already own 30 of them, but new players cannot obtain any, which is lame.

well, the reason why the ppsh41 early exists in the first place, it’s because it’s because it was given to the germans as an unlock, and when campaigns were no more, later turned into a reward during the battle of stralingrad dedicated campaign as a ““compensation””.

so, imo, if it should return, it should be in the german TT.
to be " fair " to others as everything should be accessible.

even historically, ppsh41s especially the early variants were widely captured and issued during the first months of the barbarossa campaign.

as for the soviets, they do not need yet another ppsh41 that wouldn’t really be different from the one we have.

and yes, that happens with most rifles.
but again, imo.

Nah. Axis needs tech tree drum before you get another… flat out… need to fill other gaps before you overfill another.

And now as long as they continue to only release one weapon per update and even then one weapon barely any asked for i WILL use this trash logic and less constructive criticism.

good luck. certain crowd is allergic to captured weapons despite the amount… PPSHs were captured on the same level of panzerfausts.

I do have to note i actually tried to look up this claim to confirm again as i remember using it once they had a 2 million production difference up to 6… 6 for the ppsh and 8 panzerfaust opening up tons of potential for capturing.

I even try to suggest it on a unique squad and people go berserk crying about politics.

that is true.

although, i can see an argument for both sides.

like, the panzerfaust was made out of necessity for balance ( … or lazyness. considering that they could have made the proto rpgs and what not )

the captured weapons though, it would defy the identity of a nation.
but i personally, wouldn’t have been opposed to a hard limit. for example, you can’t have more than 10 captured weapons. or better yet, much like in H&G. make a total of X kills in order to receive a single weapon of that kind. making it harder to obtain and requiring some sort of intermediate level of challenge that you have to go around, pick up weapons, and kill with it.

so that, you wouldn’t fit everyone with said weapon rather than the alternatives.

but, ultimately, it’s the allergy of the community that dictates the direction of the game ( sometimes. not always ).

it’s ultimately up to developers.

…yeah :smiling_face_with_tear:

Best Gaijin can do is make it an “event” weapon in April fools event´s battle pass which you have to buy to unlock the gun.

i wouldn’t, it could return for event though

You should have downloaded the campaign. Why are you complaining again that something isn’t right for you?

You should learn to read:

To help you process this seemingly overly complicated information, I ask not for me, but for new players that came AFTER Stalingrad.

As someone who likes a little historical immersion and will nitpick even the smallest details so my load orders are chronologically correct, I support this

Captured weapons, well, if you read the archives, the Americans and British captured the PPSh-41 German warehouses. It wouldn’t hurt to add it as an event weapon.

I want the Breda 30 machine gun that was in Stalingrad for the USSR.

For the Allies?

Well, yeah, so what?

American and British forces began capturing PPSh-41 submachine guns as trophies during combat operations beginning in 1943–44, as the Allies intensified their operations in Italy and after the Normandy landings.

Unnecessary, Western allies already have their own SMGs, We don’t need more copy and paste.
