This gun is different from the 100-round drum magazine version of the Soviet original M1921 Thompson (1040 fire rate), and also different from the US M1928A1 Thompson with 100-round drum magazine (810 fire rate).
This is a reduced fire rate variant of the M1921AC Thompson. The M1921/28 only has a fire rate of 810, but it is equipped with excellent sights. It can be introduced as an event weapon: the M1921/28 with 100-round drum magazine, featuring an 810 fire rate.
I have the Soviet KGB squad armed with 100-round Thompson drum magazines.
From my experience, they’re way more fierce and overpowered than the American airborne Thompson squad. Even though their muzzle velocity and caliber are slightly inferior, firing with a 100-round drum magazine is absolutely amazing.
Agreed, and now it’s America’s turn to get their own nkvd gimmick, may I interest you with an idea including an event for the Royal Marines with the OP’s suggested weapon, The m21/28 100?
That definitely sounds great. The Allies have long deserved a new squad with 100-round drum magazines. I’m also wondering if the BR 4 M1921 Thompson could be downrated to BR 3.
Though I do agree; I wonder what Germany would get. Perhaps an event squad with Suomi’s with better recoil and with a rof on par with the ppSh? Rather if it’s the coffin mag one or drum?
