Very interesting idea. Might be bit of a gimmick but I’m willing to give it a proper go and see how they play.
Also a Japanese saboteur seems like they might stick out like a sore thumb with the Americans and visa versa lol.

After the update drops
:
But why stop there give them explosive vests and ability to put explosive in map vehicles so we can have full terrorist experience considering the current world affairs will prepare enlisted players for the future how to counter terrorism…

its a meme class hard to take it seriously… I guess this year first of April joke arrived early if that’s the new real class cant imagine the first of April joke …
To make sure a team doesn’t waste away tickets with this unit, make it like the tanks or planes with a max of 1 or 2 saboteurs at the same time.
surprisingly they did the paint for different biomes but is locked behind pay wall
While I loved the “lone wolf” mode (I did actually play it exclusively when it was still available in public matches back in the day) I somehow would rather have seen a change like actually merging the Guerillas with the Paratroopers and give them the ability to paradrop/move about in enemy territory…AS WAS THEIR BLOODY JOB!
Not sure how the Saboteur class will work out, I see lots of potential issues with it…we shall see (or maybe this is really something like an April Fool’s prank?).
I tend to be one of the more positive people on the forums but even I don’t like the idea of this class…
The easiest way for the saboteur to get sneaky kills will be to AP mine spawns because nobody will see them making the kill. So therefore, the need to defend spawns (with AP mines) will increase… I’m assuming they will trigger enemy mines. This will lead to mine spamming. When this happens, the game tends to be a lot less fun.
As others have pointed out this ‘one man screwing around’ squad will effectively mean one less squad fighting for the objective. If there are, for instance, three squads replaced with saboteurs (i.e. replacing a 21 man assault team with three dudes hiding in the bushes marking targets) this will hand the match to the enemy.
And while we know this, it won’t stop people doing it. These squads will probably achieve a high K/D ratio, so a certain part of the playerbase will be attracted to them - team objectives be damned!
Man all I care about is the Australian guy.
I think its not a good idea for enlisted!
Enlisted isnt TF2!
I think it isnt a good idea!
Enlisted Gameplay is to fast!
Sounds like a very dumb idea!
WTF. I didn’t logged in the forum today expecting to see this. Who thought this was a good idea? Except for some rancid forgotten suggestion in a post from way back where some rando thought this would be “cool” and barely got like 5 upvotes probably. How come this gets accepted into the game and not the other dozens of actually good ideas that would make this game 100 times more WW2 themed.
We want Jeeps, SPAAG vehicles, high tier AA guns. Not this! Seriously. Get your shit together.
Just an idea. This is a squad based shooter so why are Sabs just one. Even the Sniper squad has 3 and Snipers mostly operated alone
So if Sabs are gonna be added they might as well be a small team
Also on a note can we take one second to appreciate a new cosmetic piece for Japan, truly incredible times we’re living in.

Honestly, it does kinda make sense to separate Guerilla and Sabateur. Guerillas represent Commandos and elite infantry that operated behind enemy lines on special raids
Sabateur represents, well sabateurs and spies like the Brandenburgers that sneaked into enemy territory to gather intel and sabatoge
After initially disagreeing with the Saboteur, I’ve given some thought and have come to understand it and see it’s potential. I can accept it as a new class
Maybe we’ll get some squads based on the OSS, SOE, Brandenburgers,
But even in terms of numbers, doesn’t fit well in 10vs10
Considering the normal Guerilla’s low survivablity, I’m glad I have a new tool to counter grayzone tanks. At least I have a chance to make it all the way to the grayzone. I can see the Saboteur being a niche class to deal with a specific problem.
But will cause many more in a game!
