Not really, they would just not be very good at direct shootouts like Gurillas are. They would be better not using they’re gun and instead marking enemy positions and sabotaging the enemy by leaking intel (like a spy or sabatuer)
So and how much teamwork do you think the average enlisted lobby contain? And then again do you believe text chat is sufficient to properly “leak intel” in a meaningfull way?
Personally I don’t think saboteurs are a necessary addition , but if they must be added then I’d prefer them not to be too powerful and instead just be a spotter type class.
But well organized stacks will easily abuse this amount of information. Also it’s not just text chat, they can mark objectives visible to everyone in their team.
This class feels like it’ll just be worse Guerillas. The uniform gimmick is interesting, and a war crime, but for a single soldier that’ll get shot anyways it’s not worth it. Not using your gun isn’t getting you anywhere when you could be holding the zone with an entire squad, using a tank or rally hunting with 400% more manpower.
Just use a sniper that that point. That way you could at least also get a kill or two once in a while and deplete at least some tickets while beeing safe in the rear.
And that only affects ranked or clan groups. An organized stack wins automatically when facing anything but another well organized stack
Snipers can’t go behind enemy lines, that’s why I said I don’t think they should be added because they’re too similar to Gurillas, so if they’re added I just want them do put a different spin on fighting in the grey zone compared to Gurillas (e.g spotting and giving intel and not engaging the enemy directly)
Why not combine them with the rider class actually?
They already lost all mine. I hope they don’t release this class ever and that Operation shitstorm 2 doesn’t have a paind bp behind it.
Quake Wars Infiltrator moment lol
probably got the idea after this image

a bandit with captured MP35.
This.
Here are a few things which IMO deserve higher development priority right now than a new gimmicky class:
Bet those will be all over the place in Lone Fighters…
For Squads mode they sound like a fun but pointless class addition as this game is simply too fast paced and cap focused to get much value out of them.
Newbies will use them to be of even less use to their team over using a class that fights for the capzone while veterans won’t use them except if a match is already won.
Well, there is more to come for sure.
Personally I guess the devs just wanted to be creative again, nothing wrong with that.
That beings said, I think I should start asking for Body armor fix - its been a while since someone reminded the devs to fix this bias.
the US TT one is an Australian Special Unit deployed for recoinassance and guerilla operation in Borneo
so yeah it’s Special Unit on Guerilla operation.
The Japanese TT one is just a regular Infantry Regiment Squad from regular Infantry Division. but the thing is that remnants of that unit fighting in the Philippines kept fighting on, the famous one being Hiroo Onoda, carried out guerilla Warfare until 1974…
So yeah proper Regular Infantry Unit, remnants go guerilla
But yeah I agree though it’s a bit murky when they introduce classes and what Squad is a what type of sort
Can the spy’s clothing-stealing skill steal the beautiful clothes purchased by the enemy using a clothing transformation card and put them on himself/herself?
which is probably what they intend for it.
AS long as there is limit on have many team can have deployed at any one time.
I say 1 Squad of saboteur at any given time.
I mean otherwise it doesn’t work
don’t give them ideas…
I can se the idiots going for that hitman skin for next unhistorical BS halloween event
