Why the toggle is good
This would preserve the more authentic tone of the game for immersion-focused players without affecting the visibility of skins for those who bought them or wish to see them on their screen.
It is a “win-win” for both those who want “fun” visuals and those who prefer standard WW2 aesthetics.
The toggle already works well in many other games
Implementing a client-side cosmetic toggle in Enlisted would follow the successful precedent set by titles like Batlefield, World of Tanks and War Thunder, which allow users to locally hide non-historical/user-created content without impacting the monetization or experience of others.
Community’s interest
This feature was requested by the community and got overwhelming support when it was mentioned as being considered by the developers in October 2024.
