New limited class: Saboteur

Well you know i’m French, and the only other language I speak very briefly is English. But I also know how to say in Russian: ‘Da!’, in German: ‘Jawohl!’, and in Japanese: 'Yamete kudasai!’

This is only personal opinion, but uniform change would be weird with multiple soldiers in the squad. Like, should they need multiple uniforms or only one, but if only one, it’s weird, like how could they all use 1 guys’ clothes … or if multiple, where would they find enough to change properly.
Also, how would the player’s (saboteur) AI work, like we have passive mode, but players would expect some extra logic from them while disguised. And so many other questions.

Valid points!

My personal thought is the soldiers would have different faces, but uniforms would be the same as the one stolen by the player. AI soldiers in disguise would be passive.

I would have to see how the mechanics work in game when the dev server releases to have further thoughts or opinions, but for now I think those are easy choices.

Another fantastic episode of stuff that no one asked for and that just ends up being another waste of resources.

GIVE US THE DAMN RIDER 2 if our feedback is actually being listened to.

At least this time I don’t see any pre-made premium squads. At least there’s the option to throw this stuff in the trash (or at least incorporate it into the guerrilla) instead of forcing its introduction because people have already spent money on it.

Well you can change it but it’ll be the weapons of the faction you’re playing as then

This is probably the biggest thing that no one else has spoken about yet. If they somehow find a way to fix the other issues of this “squad”, they will likely have to find a way to prevent people from killing their own soldier for a limited time after spawn.

If something needs this much padding/adjustment of external gameplay factors to work, maybe it still needs some time in the oven.

From guerrilla infiltration to espionage and sabotage, this game is starting to feel a bit like Commandos? Or is the battlefield behind enemy lines more interesting than the front lines? After all, military games involve direct confrontation in historical battles, but isn’t a saboteur infiltrating behind enemy lines guaranteed to get riddled with bullets? :smile:

Why Riders 2? Nobody play Riders because bikes are broken as funk! An event Riders for all other nations Squad should be better like the soviet one because you have an ingeneer with the possibility of build everything. They shoud had a Mortar 2 and the possibilty of playing more than 2 in the squad (same thing with flamethrower they are actually useless)

It totally does I think release the squad later after the update and try to format it to be used on the guerrillas or just. Not add imo it’s a squad I see ether be used for vehicle cycling or just annoying to APC or rallies

The sole purpose for introducing this class is to make content for the update because it is less expensive to do this stuff (which clearly was dragged out at the last second given the serious problems it brings with it) rather than committing to serious stuff like the RIDER 2

By Raider 2, I mean all vehicles, such as light armored cars (for example, AB40 or DINGO).

The biggest problem with Rider 1 is that motorcycles are simply too exposed, confined to a small map, making flanking practically impossible, while an armored car could provide frontal support while maintaining good mobility.

Well it’s already done with low tiers tanker (AB41, Damler mk2 and sdkfz 251 are already in the tech tree) and the APC premium have a mounted machine gun, and the event APC is very fast with also machine gun on it, there is an exception with the german one, it have a 75mm on it. But i’m ok with you, add vehicules in game, other armored and weaponized APC.

In any case, I think complaining about how stupid this stuff is is pointless; it’s already too late.

If the update is already called “Hidden Threat,” it means they’ve already worked on it enough that they can’t roll back without having to trash the update.

As usual, the developers never talk about what they’re working on, wasting money and resources on stuff no one asked for. And when they finally “communicate,” it’s always too late and the money has already been wasted on stuff the community will immediately reject.

WHAT THE HECK IS SITREP FOR IF THE IMPORTANT STUFF IS ONLY SAID AFTER AN IRREVOCABLE DECISION HAS ALREADY BEEN MADE?

If I had to balance them since it’s probably too late to stop them from getting added I’d suggest the following:

•lower health and less stamina than a standard soilder (similarly to snipers)

•very little ammo for their main gun upon spawn or they only spawn with a pistol

Personally I think that saboteurs would be better for an event instead of actual class or should have been implemented with a gurilla class instead.

But since they’ve already named a update after them, they’re inevitably going to be added so I’d prefer if they were less focused on direct combat and instead were forced to avoid confrontation (a bit like agent 47).
