Don’t argue with him; he’s a selfish jerk, probably a War Thunder player. Judging from the production dates of the M10 and M18 Hellcat tank destroyers, these two vehicles were specifically designed to counter Axis medium tanks. Therefore, they don’t need to be downgraded. Their guns are already capable of penetrating the armor of all medium tanks and tank destroyers in Tier IV combat. Downgrading them to Tier III is like using a cannon to kill a mosquito—any target hit will be easily destroyed, especially considering their superior mobility and rate of fire. Leaving them at Tier III is torture for newbies who can’t drive tanks.
Alternatively it gives a reason to use these otherwise waste of a vehicle slot.
