I just found a Japanese hunting catalog from 1899,there are a lot of interesting foreign weapons that could be the new TT/BP/event weapons.
Manufrance Gaulois
S&W revolvers that could fire small caliber(.22 long/.32S&W/.38S&W) buckshot cartridge
Yeah most of them would be br1, because the reload speed is slow and the damage is low. But we also have some good weapons that could be br2.
For example Burgess folding shotgun and Winchester 1893 are both pump action shotgun with six rounds, since American already have so many shotguns, I think it’s okay to give it to Japan.
As for br2 rifle, Japan doesn’t have rifle that could keep aiming between shots, so the Winchester 1895 with .40-72 and Colt Lightning rifle with 10 rounds of .45-85 would be a good option.
Here’s why, the Winchester 1866 chambered with .44 henry rimfire has 10.2 of hit power. But the .45-85 has far more damage, here’s the comparison of the .44 henry rimfire vs .44-40 Winchester.
.44-40 Winchester vs .45-85 Colt Lighting
According to a forum I found, the .45-85 Colt Lighting is basically a 45-70( 11.6×53mmR) with a lighter bullet, which is larger than .351 Winchester(8.9x34mmSR)
So the damage would be higher than Winchester 1907,which could be between 13 to 14
And the rate of fire is very impressive(10 shot within 10 seconds)
Even though the reload speed is slow, but it has enough damage and good fire rate would be very useful for Japan in br2.
