LPG-44 (RPG-1) BR3 Soviet AT weapon

The soviets wanted an anti-tank rocket launcher after seeing the Panzerfaust and the Ofenrohr.

The first stage of work took place between February 5th and April 12th in 1944 where they tested explosive charges. 70mm and 90mm caliber ammunitions were prepared for 150mm and 200mm penetration.

3 Launcher designes were worked out : A, B, and V.

The A type launcher was a converted PTRD with a shortened barrel., relocated bipod and handle, and new sights. It used a 70mm caliber grenade fired by a 14.5 mm blank round.

The B type launcher was a pipe open on both ends with a simple trigger machanism. It used the same grenade as the A type launcher ,but with a 4-finned ring stabilizer and an additional black powder propellant charge.

The difference between the V and B type launcher is that the V type launcher used the 90mm caliber grenade.

In April of 1944, 660 pages of blueprints for all three launchers was ready.

In 1944 from June to August NKV factory#143 polished the designs and produced a test batch of warheads.Trials showed that penetration was stable at 150 mm at 100 meters.Only the improved version of the B type launcher got accepted.

GOKO degree 8668ss issued on May 19th, 1945, ordered factory#2 to produce 500 launchers and factory#846 to produce 11,000 warheads. Trials were held at the NIPSVMO from August 29th to September 11th, 1945.
15 launchers produced at factory #2, 970 rockets produced at factory #846 and armed at factory #11 were tested.

The LPG-44 could be fired while standing, held either over the shoulder or under the arm, while kneeling, or prone. To fire, the fuse was inserted into the rear of the rocket, then the rocket was inserted into the launcher. The shooter armed the launcher by pulling the firing mechanism back.
The rocked penetrated 150mm of armor, during bench trials against plates and live fire trials at a tiger tank.

Where tech tree option?

Delete the Panzerfaust in the TT and give them this one.

And as extra: Add axis Panzerfaust 30 “Klein” (or Faustpatrone 30) for BR2 with a pen of 140mm.

Maybe both weapons could be part of a nice event too.

probably the poll should have a tech tree option, since some want a fomestic soviet AT

Or other version of the Ofenrohr like the Panzerschreck or the short version!

I cant edit it i dont have enough trust level or something

Why should it be TT the panzerfaust 60 is historically much more accurate than this.

Domestic tech tree option, captured content is cringe. If I wanted to play with the fausts, I should have to play with the faction that historically made them.

I understand your point , but it is not the japanese tech tree, and prototypes should not be in the TT if its not necessary

The Soviet tree isn’t as innocent as you think it is…

Anyway, prototypes are acceptable when no historical domestic alternatives exist to fill a balance needs in the tech tree, and they take precedence over captured content… because, again, it’s cringe… and frankly lazy.

I argued for a More historical mode Seperated from Merge.
A more Historical game mode for enlisted, and reasons for adding it! - Suggestions / Other - Enlisted — official forum

In it normaly there wouldnt be Prototypes without field trials in it, i have even concepts in it for balance!

Or the Developer could ask the Gamers in the Latest News topics - Enlisted — official forum or in the Latest News/Major Updates topics - Enlisted — official forum themself ,the reach would be much bigger!

The developers could most likely get more and more precise interactions!

The soviet TT is already filled with ahistorical nonsense despite the lack of need for it. And Japan never should’ve moved past BR3 but that’s outside the scope of this.

War ended on September 2 1945, FYI.

Soviets were notoriously bad with HEAT shells during WW2. 76mm HEAT tank shell only achieved 80mm penetration, 30mm VPGS41 only had 35mm pen.
122mm HEAT shell did about 90mm pen during WW2, 190mm pen value ingame is another case of shameless postwar plug-in. Remember how SU9 was supposed to be an exception?

The Problem for Japan is that Japan hade higher Br aircraft like KI 84 there would be even option to add some higher Br Japanese aircrafts even without the use of Prototypes or pure Paper stuff atleast to Br 4!
There Problems is that in Tanks and armored vehycles Japan hade really problems i think to dont go into prototypes or things never seen combat then there maybe would the highest vehycle maybe be Br3 A Spg vehycle for Japan should really be added the Type 4 Ho-Ro - Suggestions / Vehicles - Enlisted — official forum.

Infantry anti Tank weapons of Japan where terrible if you think on the things what where really used in ww2!

That doesnt matter because in august 29 they already had 15 launchers and 970 warheads

I get it , but this is hard to fit in since at br2 it wouldbe too good since it has 150mm penetration and at br3 it would be unusable because it has a 6s reload time

You can cut the reload time to something more in line with the other AT weapons. All other AT launchers have a reload time around three second with a bit of deviation and even at BR2 a six second reload would be a hard sale since you can get more than two M1 rounds out in the same time.

A 6 second reload at br 2 would be too good if it penetrates 150mm armour since you most likely need one shot to eliminate a tank. It would be very good for br 2.
The problem i have is you can get moscow maps more often and seeing a late war prototype in moscow is wierd.
It could be foldered whit the faust 60 as a br 3 alternative for people who want to use soviet AT weapons at br 3.
